Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted July 11, 2013 Aerosoft Share Posted July 11, 2013 Finn just send me a new file that probably fixes the problem some users had with starting the engines. We believe this is related to the engine failures. We did not include it in the 1.01 version because we wanted to hear if this fixes the problem first. Unzip this to FSXMainFolder\SimObjects\Airplanes/Aerosoft_DHC6_300_WHEEL\Panel\TW_System\ Overwriting the current TW_Sys1.xml that is there. HondaJet 13
Mathijs & Finn, Thank you for this fix. I have not done a flight yet but put in the new file after the 1.01 update and jumped in the plane with C&D set in Config page. With Failures & Icing OFF I clicked on Set to Ready to Fly and the engines started just like I would expect. I ran through that process twice with successful engine start. One comment for people that are using FSUIPC to operate their controls; in my case I must have my Mixtures set to MAX before I use Ready to Fly. Otherwise once the engines have started and I move the Mixtures at all FSUIPC triggers an action that shuts down the engines as if I had put them to cutoff. Thank you for your quick response to the issues that have come up. Only 2 days since release and you have an update out and probably a fix to this engine start issue. Count me as a happy customer. FA099Bill 2
I was glad to find this fix. I had been getting very frustrated not being able to start the engines. I thoight I was doing something wrong and even re-installed the aircraft. After applying the fix and trying again I was so happy to hear the engines start and keep running. Thanks Bill S.
