John F 1
Had AXE for a month now and have yet to do Franfurt to Vienna without software crashes. Simple question: is there a "must do action list" to minimise crashes? The only thing that comes to mind is that I think I read about disabling AI aircraft on this forum? I havent done this yet Some examples: 1) After reaching cruise it constantly keeps pausing itself for no reason 2) On approaching LOWW and capturing glide slope, screen freezes, and fails to respond to the various view commands John F
LapCheong 45
Whats your system? Have you apply tweaks in the past? Is this happening with other aircraft? Have you tried the UIAutomationCore? make sure the version is 6......18000 Whats your fps you getting ? Make your cpu and gpu issnt overheating. Pretty sure its a system issue
hud635jk 102
Action list: 1. Vista UIautomationcore.dll in FSX directory. 2. FSUIPC - even unregistered. 3. Highmemfix in fsx.cfg. 4. Run FSX in windowed mode. You can have the best of both worlds, with fsxfullscreen.exe. 5. Autogen to sparse. 6. A lightweight traffic package, eg World of AI. 7. Kosta's FSX tweaking guide from AVSIM.

rjord 86
John As Otto mentioned in last post, check the pause options in the right MCDU. It sounds very much like you have the option enabled saying that you want the airbus to pause on reaching every waypoint. If that is not the case, does FSX say the sim is paused and you have to press P to unpause it? With your second question, does this only happen with LOWW? If so, is this an airport expansion or the airport which came with FSX? Roy

I don't want to hijack this thread, but this sounds interesting. What is this exe and where can I get it from? Thanks
John F 1
Guys, thanks for all your tips. Some preliminary responses: My system is Win7 64 bit Intel core i3 cpu 550 @ 3.2 ghz 6 gb ram Nvidia Geforce GT430 Frame rates (set to unlimited) not brilliant but ok (hight teens upwards) Will try the highmemfix first (where is fsx.cfg ????) Pause? no not set in MCDU as this didn't happen today LOWW is the standard FSX one I have had the views all screwed up several times. eg you can see the taxy way through the floor of the cockpit. Also today, I lost all internal cockpit views. When pressing the view keys on my joystick (Black Widow) or the F9, 10,11 and F12 keys all I got was plain external views No specific error messages except several instances of FSX failing completly and closing John F
