bigo 7
Hello, Bus/Fix 102c. It seems I can start the APU and the Engines with all fuel pumps off, are the fuel pumps not simulated? ( ie feeding fuel all the time? ) Thanks, /Semir
Emi 5161
Engines can start with gravity fuel feeding, the pumps are just there for additional safety. I believe the APU has it's own fuel pump which is activated automaticly if it's started. At least that last part it how it's on the 737, but I think it's similar on the A320. bigo 7
Hmm, that's quite the deviation from what I'm used to in the... other A320 addon, but then again they were not exactly proficient in simulating the systems. Will have to research.
Finn 873
Hmm, that's quite the deviation from what I'm used to in the... other A320 addon, but then again they were not exactly proficient in simulating the systems. Will have to research. Then the other addons are wrong ! Both engines have their own mechanical fuelpump thats gravity fed, the fuelpump switches on the overhead are only for extra safetey as well as controlling whether fuel is fed from the centerline tank or wingtank. It also prevents vapor lock at higher altitudes. Vapor lock means that the fuel due to the lower airpressure at higher altitudes, evaporates in to gas bubbles. The APU has it´s own fuelpump supplied from the AC ESS SHED bus or AC STAT INV bus (if the AC ESS SHED bus fails)
