I can see that this leg is going to be fun!:

Off runway score, despite landing (nicely, I thought) on a runway; I would attach screenies but my quota appears to have mysteriously filled.

0% for the approach and then says "Heading aligned with runway".

Stay on the centre line of the non existent runway (except that I was in the middle of the runway (no centre line on gravel!)

Auto flight used despite autopilot being engaged/ disengaged at well over 1000' in cruise mode.

I didn't rotate late, the list goes on and on....

And if Whittle asks "what that smell is" one more time!!!!!!!

Hi Dale,

I am also getting "off the runway" scores again. Are you using any addon scenery for Alaska? I am using Ultimate Alaska, not sure if FSFS has a problem with the runway locations there?

Hi Manuel,

I don't recall adding anything but I have a rusty DC3 and a windmill at the end of the runway at IKO so I guess I have added something along the way.

I'm going to try another approach to see if I get a better score as I have rebuilt my FSX runway database for FSFS

Hi Guys

I have the same version of FSFS as you guys (if you upgraded to the latest version back in phase 2 I mean) and I just tried landing at IKO (Nikolsky) I used the PADU to IKO flightplan but didnt actually fly the entire flight - just slewed up and prepared for landing - SET the NAV1 OBS to 260 and landed on rwy 26.

Here is the post flight evaluation.

Definite room for improvement..

NOT the best of landings, but no "landed off runway" problem at all. So at least MY version of FSFS have no problem seeing me landing on the rwy.

I'm going to do this for the other legs before the actual flight just to be sure.

I wonder if my scenery has had a modification that has changed the runway heading. Do you have a rusty DC3 at the seaward end of the runway?

Flew with Miss Aviatrix this time, a much more pleasant experience although the Sperry autopilot disengaged whilst I was in the Heads and i just managed to save the airplane from a spin.

She didn't give me too much of hard time over wrecking the flaps either.

Spent an hour trying to land at Kai-Tak (2 go-arounds on Runway 13 & tried Runway 31) but the experience resulted in such low frame rates that it turned into a slide show and there was no chance of landing anywhere near the runway.

So I turned everything off to a bare minimum and removed Kai-Tak from my scenery at which point FSX crashed. I'm out of time so I will record a 0.0 0.0 score.

Serves me right for not allowing for Gremlins!!!!
