Is there any way to assign a key or button to the AP "Speed" mode?

Hi,

 

Yes. You will need to address an Lvar.

 

You need to set L:ASCRJ_FCP_SPEED to 1 to control the button.
If you want animation of the cockpit button (on screen), you will also need to set ASCRJ_FCP_SPEED_BTN_ANIM accordingly.

This is the RPN code you can use in Axis&Ohs, for instance :  
1·(>L:ASCRJ_FCP_SPEED_BTN_ANIM,·Number)·1·
(>L:ASCRJ_FCP_SPEED,·Number)

You will need a third party utility able to access and address the Lvars (internal addon variables)

and write the small script.
