From the screenshots you've shown, that looks to be very good work there, Manny - are these models based on realworld objects (i.e. specially made) or are they real world locations using default autogen ones?

I'll be downloading and exploring.

Thanks-

Hi Chris.

They are all exclusively FSX and some acceleration autogen objects. I do not know how to create objects of my own (yet). :)

They are based on real world location using autogens. But I took some liberty ..like for e.g. that Power Plant at Electric beach. I used some generic factory buildings to give some volume. In fact more volume than the real electric power plant. That area in front of the electric plant is called electric beach which is a great place for snorkeling and diving. Since I didn't have too many of those objects, I put more boats around that area. Also if you look carefully, you would notice a large pipe that comes from the power plant to the sea where they flush out hot water from the plant. That area is protected by cement walls so snorklers don't get hit by that gushing hot water. But I put a pier around that part instead, since I don't have a large pipe object and gushing water effect. But I may think of something later.

I have never been to Hawaii as yet. Been planning to go there and fly around for a while now. So the hotels etc are not the real looking resort hotels... I just had to imagine Donald Trump bought out those hotels and replaced it with the ones I have. :)

I made some effort to "google research" the horticulture of Hawaii for the autogen trees.. and I picked the one that looked similar.

Hope that helps.

If I get a good response, then I may do more areas around that same Island. Or I may do it just for myself. The advantage of doing it for myself is that I can use objects from many other addons that I have. It gives me more options. I am doing that for my home airport. 52F Northwest regional, Texas (Near Dallas/Fort Worth KDFW).

BTW..there is a small issue I noticed with my scenery... I had a whole lot of parked cars in the parking lot of the hotel, harbor etc which is not displaying for folks... I don't know why. But I may have to give a patch along with the new scenery for a different location later.

Manny

PS: do you guys see these parked cars in the scenery? (Provided you have the acceleration and "extreme dense" setting)

I am getting feedback that these parked cars are not visible.

This is absolutely gorgeous :D. I'm having to prune things a little, as my poor machine has trouble copeing, but it adds so much :).

I've been flying around in Aerosoft's Beaver, just sightseeing and having a great time :).

Manny,

I just added the last 2 (I already had Electric Beach add) and they look superb!

Fantastic work, it's going to take a few flights to discover all the adds! I especially love the radar domes and lighthouse on the point near Dillingham.

Thanks Mathjis.

Thats a great compliment coming from you. IF, that is a big IF, I consider commerical work...will surely talk to you. I am still in the learning mode. :)

Before January this year, I had never been inside the SDK folder, and didn't have a clue. But still learning.

Thanks again for your kind words.

If THAT's your learning mode quality, then your commercial stuff would be beyond belief, Manny ...

I know, many of you guys may not be flying around in Texas... But just in case you do come to the Dallas Fort Worth area. You may want to check out my first true airport add on (custom GMAX object, not just using Autogens). 52Foxtrot Northtwest Regional is my home airport and here is where I learned to fly and still do. My familiarity with this airport helped me immensely with this project. BTW, I have incorporated thermals and sinks just like in real life here at 52Foxtrot. And yes..it has custom runway textures...not the default ones. :P
