FMA falsely changes to "VS 0" after ALT deviation

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

when deviating from the selected altitude e.g. in turbulent weather the FMA will falsely go to "VS 0" instead of recapturing the selected altitude.

Cheers,
Jan

You can always use V/S mode to deviate...then just return to your previous CRZ as normal...just make sure also your CRZ lvl is still the same in the PROG page.

This is not what he is talking about. If it is turbulent the plane will climb +/- 100 feet uncommanded then remain at that altitude with VS 0 showing without returning to the selected altitude.
