Not sure if this has been requested before - too many pages to check!

Yes, it has. That's why I will hide your request, following this thread's rules.

By the way, Martin, what is the problem to check? Regardless of the number of pages, it takes a few seconds!

Use the forum search engine which is located in the upper right corner of the page:

I will also hide my post some time later as I want you to read it first.

    Enjoy the weekend!

  2. in English you are an artists, not a painter! an artist creates unique art work! a painter paint houses!

    I don't know, Chris. ;)  See the Merriam-Webster definition of a painter:

    Definition of PAINTER

    :  one that paints: as

a :  an artist who paints
b :  one who applies paint especially as an occupation

Of course in these categories Holgi is the 'a' case.
A reason why I prefer the term 'repainter', though it's the 'texture artist' that seems to sound most rewarding.

  3. Avianca A330-200

    Avianca Cargo A330-200F

Requested already even on this page over your posts! Please spend 10 seconds to check existing requests. If this thread becomes long and chaotic, nobody will even read it, which I am sure is not what you want.

By the way (sorry for a little off topic but I always like sticking to facts):

     Avianca Cargo A330-200F

(the first airline to ever fly the A332F)

The first A330-200F operator was Etihad Crystal Cargo (2010). Then there was Hong Kong Airlines (2010), then Turkish Airlines Cargo (2010) and finally MASkargo (2011).

  4. I really hope it is finished before summer!

jenstt, believe me, such posts don't make it any faster for a product to be released.

An old popular (disliked by some simmers) saying 'it's ready when it's ready' is very true.

It is clear that developers, just like potential customers, want the product out as soon as possible.

Before it is released and sold, they don't make money, just invest their time and potential in it.

But they don't want to sell a product which they don't feel is fully ready. So who wants a rushed release?

There are some from time to time if you look around. Are they really good then? No, everyone complains.

  5. Emilios,

What about making it possible (for those who want) to use the airport only, without the city?

I initially thought it is enough to deactivate the Thessaloniki X_2_Scenery folder.

But I can see some airport bgl's there (ThessalonikiX_airport1, ThessalonikiX_airport2 and ThessalonikiX_airport3), so I am not sure on that. Can you confirm?

I am also not sure on how deactivating the landclass folder (Thessaloniki X_3_LC) could affect the airport itself.

Of course that is no solution for any problem. And cuts off what seems to be a very attractive part of the product.

But it is a temporary suggestion for those simmers who experience some OOM problems and would like to fly to/from the airport in the meantime.

  6. I don't want to interfere with this management<->customers thread, but do take in consideration Nick is the developer of GEX for which FTX has become the main (unbeaten?) competition now.

The end of one and the beginning of another era. So, as much respect as I have towards Nick and his tweaking knowledge, he has just gone over the top with this post. Just my three eurocents.

  7. a320maxi,

My position in Aerosoft is only moderating/testing, but maybe you will get response from the management too.

In the meantime, however, I would like to share some thoughts on what you wrote if you don't mind.

Lets say a "newbie" at Aerosoft comes to ask about the famous wingflex question (...)

(...) They are asking for support in a good manner and what they get is this?

See, compare these two fragments of your post.

Aerosoft's forums are commercial forums where their administrators set the rules. And, in my eyes, these rules are good, fair and reasonable, maybe even exemplary.

These forums are mainly for Aerosoft products' support, but there are also a few subforums (e.g. Radio Chatter) for some more loose talks (within limits of course).

But 'support' means 'solving problems'. Seeing no wingflex does not represent a problem to support and fix.

I haven't seen any example of bad or aggressive SUPPORT here. Can you link any (1000th question about wingflex and weather radar excluded, please - this is not support)?

If you want, you can vote my post down the much you want (...) If this post gets voted down, then its a clear reply that the things I stated above are true.

This is not very nice, to be honest. The voting system has been set for a purpose. And, better or worse, it does work. Aerosoft staff are not dumb - they know what they are doing.

Your words sound quite provocative, won't you agree? And yet, later you add this:

Is anyone from Aerosoft going to reply to my post or not?

We all are trying to be patient and polite here. Please be too. ;)
