Recently we have seen a lot of codes used to unlock our products being offered for discounted prices. Almost all of them are bought using stolen credit cards. These codes will all be blocked by our systems and you will have to try to get your money back from the seller, we are unable to assist in these matters. Do be very careful when you see a deal that is almost too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.

  1. If anybody hasn't been informed, eSellerate will shutting down their servers. Initially, original software downloads will be effected. Eventually, the deactivation and activation portion of said such DRM will be shut down. This brings up a very important issue for end users. When eSellerate was initially used as a DRM, software companies took pains to inform users that they would never loose access to their content since eSellerate was a long term reliable software company. Fast forward now, if your initial software developer hasn't changed over to the new licensing system, or worse is out of business, you will loose access. This gives me time to thank Aerosoft for not currently using this system. It is so refreshing to see a software publisher treating us consumers with respect instead of presuming we are all criminals out to pirate their IP.
  2. I would love AS or another development group publishing under AS create an MD-11 package, with similar complexity as the AS 32 bit BUS or DA CRJ, for Prepar3d 4.X.
  3. Here is a copy of the V-Speed Cards we use at the Airline I work. Even though our FMC can auto calculate such speeds, we still use a paper backup. These cards attached are normally used for the 737NG.
  4. Stef: Could you build a Master Template for the CRJ-900 as well? Also, could you build a layered master template for the tail so that we could see what the completed tail will look like before laying into the PSD?
  5. Stefan: Could the Aerosoft Team create a new download section called Airbus Professional then a subsection for A319 and A318. That way, we re-painters can upload our Airbus Professional only repaints into a dedicated download section. Also, in this manner, our original 32 bit Bus repaints can remain unchanged in their own subsection.
  6. Will the Aerosoft Updater give me notifications that there are updates available when I am flying the bus/using the livery manager? Will there be a function to automatically install updates when Prepar3d is not in use?
  7. Will preorders be available at the Aerosoft Shop before the official release date?
  8. Hello, I was wondering, does PFPX currently support the export function to TFDI 717 XML Flight Plan Format? If not, can I send you some documentation from TFDI for future software development?
  9. CaptKornDog, in order to do a repaint like that, a painter would need a really good painting for us to work from. Here is a really good example: https://cdn6.bigcommerce.com/s-m1rws/products/4447/images/8866/G2UAL402__87335.1504813557.900.600.jpg?c=2 The reason is that the tail as well as the three strip combo is very hard to create from scratch. But if I have a high resolution image like that, I can use the image as transparency and lay it onto the flat model. Sorry wrong quote, I meant Capt Korn Dog who is requesting the old blue tulip United Paint Scheme.

  11. For simplicity of flying and departing/landing into small airports the JS41 is the better aircraft. Also, Avsim has a huge number of JS41 repaints. Many more than the Q400. Finally, all of the PMDG kits are really easy to use for us re-painters, thus if you need a custom livery, it shouldn't be hard to find a painter.
  12. The Majestic Q400. The very best in realism. Of course, it is so realistic that flying it with one person is very difficult. Another really good plane that deserves an honourable mention is the PMDG JS41. I am not sure if it is available for P3D yet, but in FSX it is an absolute joy to fly. Due to its smaller size it can get in into smaller fields as opposed to the Q400.

  16. One thing to add is that all electronics, consumer and industrial, do have a limited usage operating life. Capacitors will burn out, solder joints will become intermittent, spinning disks will have mechanical failures. At that time people will upgrade/replace their computers/components with newer more powerful models. That is only natural. After all, how many of us want to buy a brand new black-and-white TV, BetaMax VCR or even a flip phone? As we improve our hardware, will will naturally look at the newest available software to go with it. Better hardware creates new capabilities for upcoming software. Of course, sometimes the new hardware is incompatible with our older software, other times the Operating System makes older software unusable. For example, I was a hard core FS2004 guy for many years. I really enjoyed the simulator and my many addons. My ancient PC was barely capable of running stock FSX, let alone a modded version with addons. Thus, FS2004 was my simulator of choice. When the motherboard finally suffered an internal failure, I purchased a brand new PC. I immediately looked around and found FSX-SE on a Steam Sale. Flew it for a year when the video card failed. The manufacturer kindly upgraded me to a DX11 card under the RMA. I then purchased P3DV3 and never went back to FS2004. In this way, I believe the shift away from FSX to P3D has happened in the same way the shift from FS2004 to FSX rapidly accelerated after 2010. With many developers focusing only on the P3DV4, this poll shows the shift is becoming quite complete.
  17. Identity theft in the manner you experienced can happen to anybody, no matter how careful you are. Sadly, the digital world we live in has expanded the world for fraudsters. My PayPal account got hacked and PayPal was less than helpful. My Bank was the the real hero in this instance. Needless to say, I no longer have a Paypal Account. The internet is not the only dangerous place for identity theft, one of my friends at work had his credit card compromised at local grocery store. That being said, an honourable well established retailer like Aerosoft will always do their best to accommodate you and do you right. Also, your Bank will give you many protections as demanded by your country's consumer protection act. I wouldn't fear using your credit card just because of your experience.
  18. I have moved to P3D4, but still maintain a P3D3 install so that I can still fly the AS Airbus. Once the AS Airbus 2018 Professional is released, I plan on purchasing the 64 Bit Bus and removing my P3DV3 install. I do still keep a legacy FSX Steam install with a few airports in order enjoy the PMDG MD-11.
  19. I have been reading the news and read about the German vote concerning the closure of EDDT. With the financial issues at Air Berlin and the outcome of the vote, will EDDT still close? Is there is a possibility of EDDT staying open even after EDDB begins operations?
  20. Volker has made a mention at his support forum that FS Commander's Data Manager is not compatible with Prepar3d V4. Here is a link to his posting: FS Commander Forum
  21. Gentlemen, thank you very much for your information. Since I am only looking for a really good flight planner, I will pick up FS Commander at the Aerosoft Shop. Also, I checked Volker's support forum, very informative. He seems to be very good/through with his product support.
  22. Gentlemen, at the moment, I am using FSbuild for my flight planning needs. FSBuild is not the most modern program and doesn't export to AS Airbus. The user Interface is pretty basic and can be a little tough to get around. I have been looking at Aerosoft's store website and caught my eye on FlightSim Commander 9.x and PFPX. I played around with the demo version of FSC from Volker's website and was impressed. I haven't seen the same for PFPX, thus I have a few questions. 1)Essentially, what is the difference between Aerosoft's version of FSC and that available on FSCommader.com? 2)As for capabilities, what advantages does PFPX give the user over FSC? 3)Finally, FSC seems to give many helpful items like moving map which can double as an EFB as well as live weather/Metar Data from NOAA. Can PFPX provide those capabilities?
  23. Captain Joseph, please verify your texture file is in a zipped format. *.RAR formats do not work. Also, your included configuration file that contains the above information should be a notepad file labeled readme.txt Finally, I found that the readme.txt file works best when there is some text above and below your main entry. Here is an example from the Air Canada A321 NEO project I collaborated with. Try using this as a template and tell me how it works: Place the texture folder in your FSX/SimObjects/Airplanes/Aerosoft Airbus A321 CFM folder and then open your aircraft.cfg file and copy and paste the below text into the livery section, changing the xx to whatever the next number in the sequence is. That is it! Thanks for downloading. [FLTSIM.xx] title = Airbus A321 NEO Air Canada 1991 sim = A321 model = SHARKLET panel = sound = texture = AC90NEO kb_checklists = AirbusA321_check kb_reference = AirbusA321_ref atc_id = C-GITU atc_airline = Air Canada atc_flight_number = 578 ui_manufacturer = Airbus X ui_type = A321-111 CFM ui_variation = Air Canada 90's ui_typerole = Commercial Airliner ui_createdby = Aerosoft atc_parking_types = GATE description = Aerosoft Airbus A321 NEO CFM - Air Canada 19901\www.aerosoft.com\Repaint by Ray Reyes and Gavin Parmar -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not re-upload without my permission. This is freeware and there should never be a charge for it.
  24. Can you please copy and paste your repaint's aircraft.cfg entry. That will give us more information for troubleshooting. That being said, your attached screenshot seems to indicate the cfg entry is not complete. Also, it looks like you don't have a thumbnail picture (JPEG format) in your texture folder.
  25. I partnered with a colleague and created an AS A320 classic scheme. Using the AS paintkit, I copied my files over to the NEO kit and got some pretty bad results. Can anybody give me tutorial/hints on how to create a NEO repaint using the standard A320 as a base? Same engine type.
