I noticed that the Airbus (A320 CFM) would climb rather normally until it begins to capture the altitude it's to hold at: The transition from CLB to ALT* would involve a very light 'upwards flick' (noticeable visually and on the PFD). Afterwards, the altitude capture is entirely normal and uneventful. Everything's pretty good in that regard save the transition. Is this expected behavior or...?
