keukenrol 87
Hello, I am experiencing some weird terrain alerts since V1.21, almost every time I take-off, i get a terrain alert with a large red block in frond of me. This is mostly from 20ft AGL till 1000ft AGL. Not mountains, there is really nothing. For example I take off at Brussels Airport Runway 25R. When just airborne I get a terrain alert in front of me. But in fact it is flat over there. I have pic that shows a takeoff in MHTG tegucigalpa airport. Here there is a mountain in front of me but it is still a bit further away than the ND shows me. Also getting this at madeira when taking off on 05. Any idea's what might be wrong? Manual flight during screenshot. It also shows 7200ft while those mountains are not more than 5000-5500ft. What can be important: I mostly see this with ADD-ON scenery. Now using V1.21C with autothrottle test fix. Clean install.
Tommius 5
Experiencing the same issue since a week or so! Terrain alert on every takeoff and having weird altimeter problems..
kaktus018 7
As long as you have good visual conditions you can always switch terrain alerts off on the overhead panel (at least for the takeoff). Doesn't fix the problem, but you get rid of the warnings.
Emi 5161
I do not really see what is wrong on these pictures. There is a big rock right in front of your and you are heading towards it. That will trigger an alert. What is so strange about this? Try a takeoff on an airport without surrounding mountains, or disable the terrain warning, and then it should be fine. Tommius 5
@Emi Happens when taking off from Amsterdam Schiphol as well, flattest country on earth ;-)
keukenrol 87
Indeed and as said I can confirm this too at a flat area like brussels too.
Tommius 5
Do you use actual QNH information Keukenrol? There are some very low pressures in Europe at the moment, this could be causing it?
keukenrol 87
I don't really think that is the probleem. I even have it when I use fair weather in FSX wich gives me 1013hPa everywhere.
