F-14X and FSX-STEAM

Featured Replies

Everyone, this is to let you know that the base F-14 is compatible with FSX-Steam Edition. However, installation does take a little longer and a few manual steps:

1) Steam does not install the SimConnect interface by default, so you must run the installer located at:

[Your Steam Directory]\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\Simconect SDK\Legacy Interfaces\FSX-XPACK\Simconnect.MSI

2) The current installer of the F-14 does not recognize the Steam Installation, so you'll have to point the installer to the FSX directory:

[Your Steam Directory]\steamapps\common\FSX

3) Because of the above, the CV-63 scenery is not installed. As a final step, go into your scenery library, and add the scenery located in:

[Your Steam Directory]\steamapps\common\FSX\Aerosoft\F-14A\CV_63

Please, Please PLEASE, Fix the TACAN in multiplayer for Javier Fernandez Nimitz/Ike carriers that work with TACPACK.

I find it very hard to land on a carrier if I don't have something on the HUD telling me how far away from the carrier I am
