Checklist hangs up if you fly ATC vectors instead of flightplan route.

Hello!

If I fly via ATC vectors in the descend phase, the checklist hangs up no further action possible.

This problem has not occur with the old airbus x extended!

Ha, I'm glad you post about this. I have the same issue.

I always start my approach on a star, until I get vectored.

It depends a little of how far away I am from the desceleration point,

if Approach CL will start.

When I set flaps 1, and don't get 'speed check flaps one', I know

further CL's will not work. Then I usually make the nearest star waypoint

the 'To' one, and the counter starts or the Appr. CL starts immediately,

including a delayed 'SC flaps one'.

With the Extended it would indeed always work well.

I think it is a problem of sequence and handling. The APPROACH CL automatically starts app. 5 NM before the DECEL POINT. But you can also start the APPR CL manually from the MCDU 2 from 10 NM before the DECEL POINT. If you are 10 NM near the calculated DECEL POINT it should be displayed in orange e.g. available for a manually start......Start it manually and then activate the APPR PHASE........
