American Airlines US FAR121 Fuel Policy?

Recommended Posts

One further question: Is it correct with FAR 121 Domestic fuel policy, no cont fuel is needed?

For example: KLAX-KMIA= TRIP fuel+Altn fuel+FAR Reserve(45min)

With EuOps you add 3 or 5 percent cont fuel. So with US domestic not?

Regards

Sascha

You basically answered your question. From your example "C" fuel is not there, because it not required.

Note.Usually contingency fuel goes above the line, it means if you put it in then it will be part of min takeoff fuel. Extra fuel falls below the line, it means you can burn it at any time even before takeoff (long taxi, ATC reroutes...), very handy. Some deviations possible depends on airline.
