Chris Bell 144
Edwards City is basically an airport and was cleaned out of lightswe do this in all airports; all lights are removed from the airports vicinity and additional buffer radiusthe airport are always clean of lights; not just the runwaysthis is also done to accommodate any scenery that may be developed or already developedas for FPS issuedid you read the manual carefully?the subject has been discussed thoroughly on all major sim sitesrun little search; you will find all the info you needif your still having issues after doing everythingwe will be happy to assist and get you goingI assure you no one runs NE with 2 FPS
Thomas L. 1
Log Beach is a Major Airport where Mc Donald Dougles build the DC-8, DC-10, C-17II and when i am departing from this airport i have around 2 max 10 some time 15 to 25 then 6 then 2 FPS one time was stop to 1 FPS. I try a video and posting on youtube and you can see whats going on I have also on day time some lights visible. Chris Bell 144
Hi Tomasi do appreciate your effort posting a video clipunfortunately there's not much i can make out from the video to assist in your situationit is most likely your configuration setting or add-ons that needs to be off or adjusted at night in order to allow NE to run smoothlyif you’ve followed the guideline in the manualand still unable to get a smooth night flight; please email AS support with all relevant information of your SimPc setup, add-on etcin order for them to find out the culprit in your setup that’s not letting NE run as it shoulddid you read the manual carefully?there specific instructions and guidelines to run NEas well as recommended settingsyou cant have some lights on and some off during the day; the lights you see on are probably unrelated to NE
Thomas L. 1
Is your Night Light REX proved ? a good test pilot is always in training Thomas
Chris Bell 144
not sure what REX has to do with NE lights?i haven’t heard of any issues so far with REX or anything relatedNE textures are DX9/10/11/HDR proved and ready!my knowledge is helpful when it comes to light support and configuration of NE itselfAS support team has much more information than me when it comes to third party add-onsand they are far more experienced to diagnose the condition; if a legit one existthis could be a simple config issuein most cases; for some reason users have all level 1+2+3 checked at once which causes FPS drop(under any circumstances all three should not be all checked at once)

Chris Bell 144
guys before you point fingers at REX or any one; let me take a crack at it Thomas, are you running Steve's DX10 fixer? any chance you are running with some advance tweaked setting? the lights are off in your picture; this looks like some transparency conflict but its not NE i assure you; it looks like something changed the normal alpha blending is anyone else seeing this beside Thomas; whatever config they are under? Thomas L. 1
No i don't use DX10, some Aircraft and Scenery not compatible. Then next time write that your tool works only for DX10 and make lot of trouble under DX9. a good test pilot is always in training and fly. Chris Bell 144
Thomas; you are the only one having this issue atmthere is no base to what you’re saying; NE was originally developed under DX9, DX10 is just gravyNight Environment is 100% compatible with DX9/10/11/HDRyou were simply asked to try DX10 and check if the issue still exist; then return with your feedbackwe cannot help you further if you just through allegations in the air;instead of providing details about your issuei suspect that your running some modified or corrupted DX9 shader there
Thomas L. 1
Why is should switch the hole simulator to DX10 when i don't use DX10 ? Chris Bell 144
shader is a default file fsx uses; it is possible it got corrupted somehow or an addon you’ve installed modified it; something out of the normal happened there I’m really not sure at the moment; I’m very much in the dark You do not provide technical details needed to help shade light on the situation or help replicate the condition to examine the cause the picture is nice; but it doesn’t happen normally and based on a picture; there is no way to detect the culprit in your simulator I understand this could get frustrating, please try to help us we are trying to help you! all this correspondence; without a single technical detail to help diagnose this
ggerman 3
Her is a daylight picture and you can see your lights are iluminated at day on the horizon. a good test pilot is always in training and fly Thomas I have this issue as well... in NE Germany... using only DX9... it dropped my frames down to a stutter. Once I turned the NE layers off, the frames went back to normal. The polygons for the lighting are semi-transparent and visible from all altitudes during the day. - Greg
