When using transitions from a star-fix to the runway I do this via keyboard commands as this can't be done with the mouse interaction. It would be a nice feature if you get an option when using the mouse if you need only a DIRECT TO command or DIRECT TO AND JOIN TRANSITION when there is a transition from that fix. It would speed up the handling at some busy airports. Night time EHAM (Amsterdam) for example with it's special noise reducing transitions. I'm re-reading the manual but there are two mentions of transitions both not telling how this works with the mouse and now trying on EHAM itself again. EDIT... yes, you're correct.
