I am At A Loss with V1.1

Hi
I have FSX Acceleration on Windows 7 64 bit.
I was udating Airbus Extended from V1.0 to V1.1. I had to deinstal V1.0 as recommended.
V1.1 installed fine and running OK.

but all my Addons in the FSX addon menu have vanished (LDS767, FSUICP, A2A Accu feel, UT2, PMDG 747X and FSLabs Concorde X). Only RAAS installed by Airbus Extneded remains.

All addons are present in FSX folder but cannont be started within FSX.

Where are the Addons kept in FSX?. Do I have to install all these addons again?

Check your dll.xml file. It might be corrupted. Or rather have it checked: PMDG and Aerosoft offer this kind of service. You can just upload it here (unless you prefer the ticket system of PMDG).

Second suggestion: An update of your antivirus engine(!) took place. (Not just the virus signatures, the whole piece of software.) Which AV software do you use?

I sure its the dll.xml. Sometimes there is a faults entry causing the whole file not to work.

Go here C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX

Dll.xml and right click edit check to see any wrong entry or copy and paste it here

Could your dll.xml file even have been deleted before reinstalling the AAX?

Did you manually delete AXE folder or files after the automatic uninstall? There's only one entry from the reinstalled AAX in your "new" dll.xml.

BTW, IAmniceifY, nice to see you again!!

Thanks for all the replies.

I am using Norton AV.

I did deinstall AXE vial control Panel Remove

I will Check Dll.xml today. Everything was working fine before the AXE update.

Norton AV looks unsuspicious to me. (Issues with CheckPoint ZoneAlarm are known and confirmed.)

Pls. DO check your dll.xml. Probably you'll find older inactive dll.xml's in the same folder of which you could restore the latest one. Should help you to get most of your addons back up and running again without reinstalling them.

I found that the entries in dll.xml were all deleted except one entry for RASS.

The back up dll.xml generated by RAAS was blank.

An older backup generated by ConcordeX FSL was dated Mar 23/13 may be OK but does not have some newer entries. It is a good start however.

Thanks for all your help

Bill
