Leg 1: Andras Field to Paris Orly in a C-130 Hercules...

On the ramp at EAFS, preparing for departure.

Climbing away from Andras field, showing the amazing tail art...

cruising over France, clear skies. I didn't take any more screenshots after this one.

Leg 2: Paris Orly to London City in the Beech Duke

No screenshots from departure and climb, but here's a nice one showing some amazing cloud formations over Northern France

A look over the Channel... France below, the UK ahead. Not the last time we'll be making this crossing on the tour.

First look at the city of London, after descending through some clouds

and the final screenshot of the day: a picture perfect ILS landing into London City... if all my approaches were that good...

Lovely Pictures (especially of my beloved home town, London)

I suppose that I had better get started soon, but I have no free time until at least Thursday :(

Happy Flying

Thanks Dale!

Here are some from the third leg: London to Luxembourg.

Taxiing in the confined space of London City Airport

Another great cloud shot... somewhere over Belgium

And finally the approach into Luxembourg...

Had a nasty crosswind on approach, but it completely fell off at 200ft, so no extra points for a crosswind landing...

Some screenshots from the flights I did yesterday...

Leg 4: Luxembourg to Lelystad in the DC-3... Too busy handling the crappy autopilot, and making sure my engines kept working to take more screenshots

Leg 5: Lelystad to Berlin, in my 'We have a problem' C-130...

Still loving that repaint though... my best work still I think.

Taxiing in the Netherlands:

On final, another fine ILS approach...

and rolling out on the runway in Berlin

Fell a little behind posting screenshots (3 legs)

Ok, first, leg 6, the last flight in the C-130 for this phase of the challenge.

Leaving Berlin:

I told Smith I was going to throw him out if he kept nagging, didn't I?? well...

and one final shot from that flight:

Then to leg 7. From Gardermoen to Vagar.

First chance to get my 737 out of the hangar!

here's how it looked at the gate... a lot of faces!

Taxiing, and admiring the beautiful (and cloudless) morning sky:

Holding short for takeoff while another aircraft lands

Cruising... still clear skies and a low morning sun

But then, this is the weather I was doing the approach in... It cleared up about 5nm from the airfield, but that didn't make it any less stressful.

and leg 8, the final hop to Iceland.

Took the Duke...

Departure in even worse weather than the previous approach:

Some nice cloud formations in climb, but I don't think the passengers noted. Had a lot of turbulence all the way through the flight, even at FL140.

The first moment it stopped shaking was when descending over the coast of Iceland

Although I didn't plan on going down low, I did plan my flight to go through the valleys, and not crossing the mountains.

And on final, battling a crosswind from the left.

the FSX noted 15kts, gusting 25, at an angle of about 80° to the runway...

I was glad I had that ILS signal.
