Interesting. I asked the same question on a PMDG forum since the 737 appears to have an identical HGS. I was told that in addition to the runway edges, the HGS will also provide a "runway remaining" value, useful for takeoffs / landings during restricted visibility I wonder if the CRJ's HGS also has that feature (in real life) or if it's just unique to the 737?
