Swinden 0
Usually on the second leg of a flight, I noticed that the hydraulic brake pressure will drop to 1200 psi, then the hydraulic pump kicks in and raises the pressure to 1550 psi and it drops again the cycle continues. Evidently there is a hydraulic leak in the system....can maintenance please fix this issue?
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted December 28, 2022 Aerosoft Share Posted December 28, 2022 Well that is not too uncommon on an aircraft of this age, that is why there is a pump. I do not consider this unrealistic.
Swinden 0
While you are correct, it would be a slower leak. This particular cycles every 5 seconds....with a leak like that there wouldn't be any more hydraulic fluid left!

If you have not used a Twin Otter a few days the hydraulic pressure will be zero, but that does not mean there is no hydraulic fluid, it just means it is not pressurized.
