How to relink addon.xml to p3d after deleting generated files

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to relink the addon.xml to p3d after deleting generated files or do I have to reinstall the crj completely? P3D is no longer picking up the addon.xml for the CRJ.

The easy way is reinstalling the CRJ. The more complicated way is to manually add it to add-ons.cfg:

  • Open C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\add-ons.cfg in a text editor (use "v5" instead of "v4" if you use P3D v5)
  • For P3D v5 add:
    [Package.xx]
    PATH=F:\P3D5 Add-ons\Aerosoft CRJ Pro v5
    TITLE=Aerosoft CRJ Professional
    ACTIVE=true
    REQUIRED=false

  • For P3D v4.5 add:
    [Package.xx]
    PATH=F:\P3D4 Add-ons\Aerosoft CRJ Professional
    TITLE=Aerosoft CRJ Professional
    ACTIVE=true
    REQUIRED=false

  • Replace xx with the first unused package number in the file

  • Replace PATH= with the path where you installed the CRJ

  • Save the file and exit the text editor

  • Start P3D

I hope this helps.
