Precision Landings in Albertville, St.Peter Ording and Hartenholm EDHM (EDIT June 24-2019: Lua Script available)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

If you feel like doing a few precision landing exercises, you can now do so at the Airport Albertville (LFKA) in the beautiful French Alps or in St.Peter Ording EDXO or in Hartenholm EDHM.

The requirement is of course X-Plane 11.

And my Freeware Airports Albertville, St.Peter Ording and Hartenholm and, now, my addons for the precision landing exercises.

All to get HERE (Albertville)

or HERE (St.Peter Ording)

or HERE (Hartenholm)

In the Custom Scenery directory, the precision Landing add-on must be above my airport.

The same applies to the scenery_packs.ini file.

This then looks e.g. for Albertville like this:

....

SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery / AIRFIELD-LFKA-Albertville-XP11-precisionL-v... /
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery / AIRFIELD-LFKA-Albertville-XP11-scenery-v... /

....

You can turn off the target country addition by "..._ DISABLED":

....

SCENERY_PACK_DISABLED Custom Scenery / AIRFIELD-LFKA-Albertville-XP11-precisionL-v... /
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery / AIRFIELD-LFKA-Albertville-XP11-scenery-v... /

...

The addition bring a few people, etc .. on the airfield and of course the markers for the precision landing.

These are 7 fields (each about 5 m wide), characterized by lines. The yellow line is the marker for the most accurate landing.

With Hartenholm it is difficulter. The yello field is only 3m. The Y and D Filed 10 m.

The runway width is only 15 m and in the final there is a forest...

Rules:

If you land in the field directly behind the yellow line (marked by the 3 arrows left and right and the designation O),

then you get 0 points.

If you land in the other fields (X, Y, A, B, C, D) you get "penalty points".

Field 0 = 0 points

Field A = 10 points

Field B = 20 points

Field C = 30 points

Field D = 40 points

Field X = 60 points

Field Y = 120 points

Landing outside all fields = 200 points.

Landingpoint is the landing of the main landing gear (not the nose wheel and not the tail wheel / depending on the aircraft model).

If the plane jumps, then the last touchdown point applies.

You fly 3 precision landings in a row ....

Who gets the least points, has won :)

Weather conditions: no wind or max. 5 knots wind straight from the front.

You can watch your landings then with the X-Plane 11 "Replay" mode ....

Or use the lua script from Othello (Forum user) to automatically evaluate your precision landings.

(Thanks Othello, for the permission, to upload the Script into our Downloadsection for all our forum-members).

Try that. It's not that easy :)

Have fun and greeting

Heinz
