Trouble with the pop up guages

Recommended Posts

Just bought this aircraft and I have updated it with the latest hot-fix but still cannot open the windows for the pilot display unit. When I hover over the gauge my mouse pointer changes to the finger pointing icon and whenever I click the gauge the gauge screen goes black but no pop-up window. Then when I click back on to the black gauge screen it goes back to normal. I find it extremely difficult to read the gauges without the popup windows.Currently running Prepar3d V3 3.4.22.19868 on Windows 10.

Has anyone else had this issue or found a way to fix it.

Thanks in advance for your time and/or any help.

I would first try a clean install following these steps:

1) remove the product using the Windows Software control panel (do not manually delete the program files)
2) do a disk check (right click on the drive, select properties, select tools, select check now)
3) reboot your computer
4) disable the anti-virus software temporarily
5) install the product as administrator (right click the installer EXE file, then "run as administrator")
6) enable the anti-virus software
7) defragment your disk (NOT if you are using a SSD)

Thank you Mathijs for the quick reply but unfortunately non of that worked but I found a temporary solution!

So when I click on the gauges that pop up, for example, the PDU. I have to scan around the cockpit with my mouse until my icon turns into a pointing finger and resembles the outline of the PDU. I have found them to be by the emergency breathing system (just left of where the captain would sit) then you right click and select undock window and it will appear in the top left corner. Thanks again for the help and hopefully I find a resolution to this soon but this is just temporary if anyone else is having an issue.

sigh.. nvm when I do this the FPS drops incredibly and makes the plane unflyable. I guess I will just wait for further updates and hopefully be able to get this bird in the sky.
