Is there any way to turn off the view of the pilot joystick?  I'd like to do this for instrument approaches and navigation en route because the joystick blocks your view of the HSI.  The only way I have found to do this is to select A/A mode but then the HSI loses all of its navigation info when you do that.

Vol 3, page 7. Click spot just right of the stick (BIT indicator) on the HSD frame.
