    Mega Airport Vienna for FSX

    I am a bit confused regarding this title.

    I purchased my FS2004 version in box form direct from Aerosoft (version 1.2). I see that there are further updates to the FS2004 version on the FlyTampa site.

    Question 1. Do these updates apply to my boxed Aerosoft version?

    Question 2. I wish to purchase the upgrade to FSX. Do I purchase this from FlyTampa or Aerosoft/Simmarket?

    Taxiway Signs Mega Airport FrankfurtX in FS2004

    I recently re-installed Mega Airport FrankfurtX for FS2004. The order of installation was version 1.0, then version 2.01 and finally version update 2.02.

    There is a file named EDDF_APPRTW.BGL which contains all of the taxiways signs. When viewed in FS_Nav, this file has a higher priority than the Afcad file AF2_EDDF_Gap-Team_Full_with_Custom_AI.bgl, and as such graphically hides the gate indicators. They of course are present in the simulator.

    Removing the file EDDF_APPRTW.BGL allows the gates to be represented graphically in FS-Nav at the cost of losing the taxiway signs.

    Has anyone experienced this and if so, is there a work around to allow both files to co-exist.

    Antalya FS2004 Approach

    Has anyone executed a successful ILS vectored approach to this airport? I have tried 3 flights Istanbul-Antalya using RC4 to no avail.

    I am using the modified AFX_LTAI.bgl by Billy Rutherford. Any help or insight is appreciated as this becoming increasingly frustrating.

    Hamburg-GA3

    The beauty of AFCADs is you can add these frequencies etc so that they can be kept up to date for those that need them, if its not there try adding the approach.

    I do not detect an approach frequency listed in the AF2_EDDH_2009.bgl when viewed in AFCAD221.

    I attempted two flights using Radar Contact version 4.3.3845 for FS9 and neither received instructions for a vectored approach.

    Did I miss something?

    Also please confirm that the current version is version 1.02

    Aerosoft Mega Airport BrusselsX and Brussels 2007

    I have Brussels 2007 for FS9 by FSDreamFactory which I originally purchased via Simmarket in 2007.

    It appears that the Aerosoft Mega Airport BrusselsX is a dual package for both FSX and FS9. If this is so, is the FS9 part of the package the same as my current Brussels 2007 version?

    Or is the Aerosoft Mega Airport BrusselsX a completely new version for both FSX and FS9?

    Luxembourg Airports 2004 Update V1.20

    I currently have Luxembourg Airports 2004 version 1.10 installed which was purchased through Simmarket. I noticed that an updated full version 1.20 is available on the Aerosoft updates page.

    Should version 1.10 be uninstalled completely before installing version 1.20?

    Also, since version 1.10 was purchased through Simmarket, should I even install the the Aerosoft update?

    Larnaca X FS2004 Static A/C

    There are no static aircraft in Larnaca (except the GA aircraft in the FSX version). I'm sure you use an AI traffic addon.

    Usually you can easily spot the difference between static and AI aircraft from the aircraft shadows.

    A question regarding updates of products

    I received an update notice from simMarket regarding German Airports 3:

    This update is also noted on Aerosoft's site:

    Download the full version from your download shop account. The separate update is available from our support database.

    So I would like to know if there is a difference between the two files available from Aerosoft and simMarket.

    I purchased the download version from simMarket and registered the product in Aerosoft registration database.

    From which site should I download the update, or does it matter? Aerosoft lists the update version numbers as 1.5 for FS2004 and 1.3 for FSX. simMarket never lists the version numbers.

    Paris-Orly Update 1.03 FS2004

    Download the installer Version 1.03 from your Shop account History and deinstall the old version first, then reinstall 1.03 with the new installer.

    The Texurefixes are useable with all versions.

    Thank you Oliver. FYI, I recently uninstalled your freeware Bremen scenery which has been on my supplemental drive from the "old days". It's people like you who make this hobby so enjoyable.

    Vienna V2 FS2004 Box Version

    I had the previous V1 which was installed in folder ...(FS2004\Aerosoft\Mega Airport Vienna.) I did an un-install prior to installing V2 and the installer placed the files into folder (...FS2004\Addon Scenery\FlyTampa\scenery.)

    There is an Afcad file named 'LOWW_ADE9_ADE.bgl" as well as a file named "rwy.bgl". When viewed in AFCAD.exe the LOWW_ADE9_ADE.bgl displays properly but the rwy.bgl does not display and is reported as "not in recognized afd format". When viewed in FSNav the LOWW_ADE9_ADE.bgl is not recognized but the rwy.bgl is.

    Is this rwy.bgl file necessary?

    Gibralter X FS2004

    A complete de-install and re-install fixed whatever the problem was. I did notice a bgl file was placed in the root addon scenery folder which takes precedent over the simwings bgl in the scenery folder. I believe this is the file that compensates for using UT with the scenery. Anyway, it works fine.

    Gibralter X FS2004

    After installation, I see my a/c floating above the ground. Anyone else have (or had) this issue? Is there a fix? I have Ultimate Terrain FS2004 installed, and have removed the old Sim_Wings Balearen Gibralter scenery.

    Casablanca Afcad

    I recently purchased Casablanca for 2004 from Aerosoft Online product ID#1788. The Afcad included in this package is a bit out of date and I am seeking an update. The issue is that the ILS is configured so that when specifying either 35L or 35R in conjunction with RC4 you will be vectored to the backcourse heading. The Afcad bgl visually looks fine in FSNavigator as well as in Afcad. I always update the databases after adding new scenery.

    Can anyone help with this issue?

    Can this issue be overcome using Afcad or ADE?

    Concurrently, from what source does RC4 obtain its nav data?

    Also for SHAUN.....I pm'd you last week regarding the inability to register this package through the Aerosoft registration site. Have you had a chance to look into this?
