  1. Hi there,

    Have installed UTX Europe+latest updates and Amsterdam/Eham1.04 but behind the railwaystation the IJ is becomming land!

    It is not UTX which is causing troubles i pressume because after deactivating Amsterdam/Eham through the scenery option within FSX all is water again!

    I know what it is, somewhere an landclass file is being overwritten by ......, but i do not know how to fix it.

    HUH???????????????

    Hi,

    does it work already? You have to switch something off in the scenery library.

    If your problems is still there, let me know.

    I look it over when i'm at home.

    Eric

  2. Hi Eric ,

    Nope , I'm not joking. I stiil fly with my keyboard (not the easiest way). But someone has create an ILS for me for the Corfu approach. So , I can enjoy that scenery too.

    You are correct with a joystick. But I prefer a B737-yoke. Not very cheap.

    At this moment I'm in a divorce after 19 years of marriage. Not the most pleasant time in my life.

    I believe you can imagine that I have to wait to spend some money on my sim.

    Kindest regards ,

    Tom.

    Hi Tom,

    I understand.

    Sorry if I offended you.

    Eric

  3. Dear Emilios ,

    Please , can you help me and , perhaps , other flightsimmers too ?

    You have created a very beautiful scenery with CorfuX. And I'm looking forward to your new Iraklion-project.

    But , concerning CorfuX , I crash all the time during the landing. Even with the PMDG NGX. Due the fact I'm working with my keyboard.

    Not pleasant. And I wish to enjoy a lot more of your scenery with a perfect landing.

    Therefore my request.

    Is it possible to create an extra optional file with an ILS for CorfuX (RWY36) and Iraklion (RWY ?) ? As a kind of an option/tool ?

    Yes , I know , the real airports don't have an ILS-system , but for my FSX its gonna be a great help.

    I'm looking forward to your answer.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Yours sincerely ,

    Tom.

    Hi Tom,

    I'm not certain if you make a joke here or not.

    In case you are not, well, I can't look in your wallet, but a very simple joystick is very cheap these days.

    It gives a lot more fun to fly. And you can do a manual approach.

    Even better is a yoke and throttle. (saitek or something like that.)

    But that is not cheap anymore. For a saitek yoke and throttle you pay about 100 euro's. But a joystick is there already for 20/30.

    Regards

    Eric

  4. Hi Oliver,

    First to say that it is a great addon you build.

    There is no doubt many people are comparing it with the new fsdreamteam GSX.

    Nice to have at all the standard airports, but I stick with AES.

    One of the thinsg I like a lot in GSX and is missing in AES is the warning when some actions are finished.

    If the catering is finished and you are busy with the plane the trucks dissapear silently and the doors are wide open.

    I would love to have a signal that the catering (and other services) are ready and waiting for me to close doors and cargodoors.

    Is that possible to do for one of the next updates?

    Thanks for responding

    Eric

  5. Open your panel.cfg and go down to Window 08. Just add the last line like I added below for gauge 10. Save the cfg. Now when you open the Comm window, the GPS will appear in the lower right hand corner of the Comm window.

    //--------------------------------------------------------

    [Window08]

    file=com_panel.bmp

    file_1024=com_panel.bmp

    size_mm=1097,1048

    window_size_ratio=1.000

    position=0

    visible=0

    ident=10003

    window_size= 0.590, 0.810

    window_pos= 0.240, 0.180

    zorder=6

    gauge00=BC_A300!BC_A300_BACKCOM, 0,0,1097

    gauge01=BC_A300!BC_A300_COM1, 13,10,348

    gauge02=BC_A300!BC_A300_COM2, 739,11,348

    gauge03=BC_A300!BC_A300_ADF, 739,456,350

    gauge04=BC_A300!BC_A300_COMPANEL, 13,171,349

    gauge05=BC_A300!BC_A300_RUDRIM, 429,735,237,237

    gauge06=BC_A300!BC_A300_AILTIM, 459,1016,180,20

    gauge07=BC_A300!BC_A300_COMPANEL, 739,171,349

    gauge08=BC_A300!BC_A300_XPDR, 374,9,354

    gauge09=BC_A300!BC_A300_LIGHTINTENS, 9,616,355

    gauge10=fs9gps!gps_295, 735,790,355,224

    Hi,

    Maybe a stupid question, but I have added the gps, but it remains dark. Witch switch do I use to turn it on?

    Eric

    Ah I just found it. Only visible with the complete radiopanel.

  6. Hi Guys -

    I have a quick question about AES, and the credit system that it uses. Can someone please explain to me how the system works?

    If i buy credits, and for some reason need to reinstall Windows, get a new computer, or whatever, will i lose my credits? How will AES know what i have bought? Im assuming (and hoping) that the application asks for a password or something and 'activates' the airports i have applied credits to.

    Also, will it help me find the runway? I have trouble finding the right one i need from the gate! :)

    I hope someone can help me, i really like the look of this! :)

    Thanks! :)

    Good morning,

    First you have to download the programm (at Aerosoft or else)

    After that install. A free airport is included.

    If you buy credits (aerosoft or else), you receive a sort of serial in you email. You have to "insert" the serial in the programm

    So no loss of credits

    AES is great fun! I agree.

    Finding the right runway is sometimes difficult. In AES there is a "follow me" option. But I find out that it doesn't work as good as you wanted.

    But more fun is (I think) go to www.navigraph.com.

    Here you find charts of the airport. So you can see where you are and can search the right way on the map. Look around where you are taxiing and after a while you get used to the signs at the airport. So it is easier to find your way.

    Of course you can also use the taxiwayhelp in FSX. But I don't like the big yellow arrows on the taxiways.

    Hope this helped too

    Eric

  7. Hello,

    I wish to express my opinion hoping that this won't start any flames or any bad reaction.

    IMHO, teasing 200 (and maybe more) people like you are doing, seems a bit unfair. I said UNFAIR not unserios...

    Maybe this is a marketing strategy, i don't know but anyway is sad to see people imploring the long waited and delayed Airbus.

    I believe that a reliable company like Aerosoft should have annonced the relase date maybe one day later and used the day before to upload the files and check everything was correct and finally have it ready for download.

    I wish to express my total satisfaction for all the great addons that Aerosoft made during last years and hope that many more will keep on coming.

    Regards.

    I think that isn't fair.

    Aerosoft is giving a lot more information about the building process than any other company. In that way everyone can follow progress, but is informed about problems too.

    Instead they could say "ready, when it's ready" and after a while it pops up in the screen and you can buy.

    So in my opinion, no teasing. I like the way they inform future customers. In good days and bad days.

    My opinion, but hey, who am I ....blush.gif

    Regards

  8. I found it on the PMDG forum post by aceridgey. I do beta testing for 2 other companies and would never post what he said another forum,I just wanted clarification that his post was way off base.

    JeffG

    I was happy to see it was removed from that forum

  9. Alot of the MCDU stuff are stored but not the flightplan istelf...

    The reason is that we are using xml code. FSX handling of xml code means very poor "String" operations.

    Numbers and numarical vaules are very well handled, but alphanumeric stuff is extreme poorly handled.

    Therefore is it not possible to store the flightplan itself, cause the flightplan is build up by waypoint names, wich are alphanumerical strings.

    Sorry, would have liked to be able doing so too.

    Finn

    Hi Finn,

    So, if I save the flight halfway, because I have to work, and load it again the next day, the plain is at the same place in the same state, but without the information in the flightplan/MCDU?

    Do I have to pause the flight and re-enter all the information. (I guess with a direct to...option)?

    Thanks for responding.

  11. Im just highlighting Facts, Aerosoft state that their textures and VC are better than that of other Products available, including comparing pictures, and boasting that they have proof that they measured every thing so its in the right place, yet they cant even get the Cockpit colour right.

    And by the looks of it, most of the people here dont like the direction Aerosoft have taken with their product either, so what is the intended customer base other than just repeating to me bla bla bla people that want a basic simulation, because they may as well just use the default, as that is all the Aerosoft airbus is, just a dressed up Default aircraft, its clearly not the people here on the forums.

    Wow, take it easy please! Flightsimming is just a nice hobby for having fun :wacko: It isn't work you have to do!

  12. @aerosoft team and members.

    i hate bringing it up,

    but will it be possible to mod the aircraft after release.

    the fs community is blessed with innovators and great mod-ers..

    would it be possible to add a Sid/star support by a member of the FS community?

    or is this simply not possible

    [in particular mention of the leveld and someone released a upgraded cockpit which prooved popualr]

    all the best

    I don't believe this.....................

  13. Well after all this discussion I have to put in my two cents.

    I don't know how or when to use SID / STARS, or even what it is. I don't know how to read charts.

    But I like to fly a little bit after work to relax. Just a 2-3 hours flight. And the default Airplanes are too easy

    So the Aerosoft Airbus is the right thing for me.

    Regards

    Klaus

    Klaus,

    I understand, have the same time to spare.

    So no need to know more, but I found out that FSX is much more fun to play(even a few hours) if you understand a little bit more of it.

    At this site : http://www.fs-tutori...47_400_PMDG.php you can find a very very easy tutorial.

    It explains every single step and together with a picture (in this case a PMDG 747) starting and flying an airplane.

    If you take half an hour to read through the tutorial you understand what is happening in the FMC (including sid and stars :rolleyes: )

    Besides I think a little bit of knowedge makes the A320 much more fun.

    I know, it's my opinion so no need to use it, but just fun to know.

    Regards

    Eric

  14. Two reasons e.g.:

    If there is less traffic, ATC can do the pilot a favour by letting him fly a "shortcut" to save time and fuel.

    If there is heavy traffic, it´s necesary to arrange arriving and departing aircrafts individually to keep the necessary distances.

    Timo

    Ah.. thanks.

    Eric

  15. I've followed this discussion for quite some time now, and thought I'd give my thoughts on the matter. What you are saying is simply not true. I fly the a320, and I hardly ever fly a star procedure direct from the FMC. Simply because ATC will not let us. The same for autoland, we never use it,under normal circumstances, company policy. My son got me to follow this forum, because he started asking questions about wingflex and sids. Something I like, being a proud father and hoping he will be the next generation to take the left seat. And ever since the various topics make me smile. If you want it to be as real as it gets let the wingflex go, it's hardly noticeable. Strictly speaking don't fly any commercial aircraft at all, because it is not realistic. For realism stick to a c172. My son uses it to prepare for his ppl. Excelent to practise principles of flight and navigation. I have tried various aircraft and most say it is quite fun, but lets not make it more the it actually is.

    Nice to hear something from 2 real pilots.

    I was just curious. Why let ATC not fly the sid's or star's or not fly them completly? Is it because of heavy traffic? Or is it a matter of security?

    Regards

    Eric

  16. When your park the aircraft correct and the aircraft has 2 correct configured doors, both jetways will move.

    Dear Oliver,

    That's a quick reaction. Thank you.

    I configured the airplane 2 times again. And now it works perfectly.

    Don't know what the problem was, but anyway, the problem solved.

    Thanks for your reaction.

    Regards,

    Eric

  17. Goodmorning everyone,

    I'm glad Schiphol X is released. I know there is slill much work to do, but despite of all the problems I think the scenery is beautiful. And after the intervention of Oliver it is working fine for me.

    Eric

  18. Dear all,

    I've made an modified AFCAD for MAP EHAM X. I found some errors when I was using WOAI traffic.

    There were heavy's standing at the C & D Pier. In real life this doesn't happen.

    So, you can download the new AFCAD files here: (scroll down)

    http://www.a51-zone....ingen.html#4167

    For FSX Only!

    The post is in dutch, so here is an english readme/installation note:

    Installation:

    Navigate to the following location: <FSX Location>\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Aerosoft\Amsterdam Schiphol X\Scenery

    Then, make a back-up of the following files:

    AFX_EHAM_02.bgl

    AFX_EHAM_02_NORTH.bgl

    AFX_EHAM_02_South.bgl

    AFX_EHAM_02_EAST.bgl

    AFX_EHAM_02_WEST.bgl

    Now you can copy the 5 .bgl files from the downloaded .zip to that directory.

    Uninstallation

    Put your back-up back in the following folder: <FSX Location>\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Aerosoft\Amsterdam Schiphol X\Scenery

    Have fun this!

    Great. Thank you!!

    Eric

  19. it works fine with NL2000v4, already know people and seen screenshots from it, looks really nice!

    It certainly is.

    In real life incoming flights and departing flights are never using the same runway at Schiphol.

    Here I always have to wait for flights that are arriving.

    Is it possible to change the runways of the incoming and outgoing flights in fsx, or do I need a special program?

    Eric
