  1. With winter approaching could we get a utility or some new files that allows us to change the season of AF to winter/spring/autumn/summer ?

Looks kind of misplaced when the surrounding area is blanketed white and Andras is bright green

    Kind regards,

    Zakk

  2. Hi All,

Just a suggestion, Would it be possible to get the bridge removed from Artwick Avenue just before the slipway for the next update?

I usually park my Catalina on the south plots (i know, the ground rent is in the post), i have just had to get a fold down VSTAB for it a it hits the bridge as it normally is

    Thanks

    Zakk

PS: Sim Market really need to switch construction companies ;)

  3. You'll need to do a forum search, as that is a problem that results from an incorrect install. Off the top of my head the dll.xml file needs to be edited by the installer, and it was unable, due to a lack of adequate permissions...

    Andrew

Thanks, got it sorted now with your suggestion

  4. Hi All,

Ive got the Airbus X, I have a small (well, big) problem.

On the scratch pad there is always a '.0' stuck there, it just wont delete, ive tried everything,

    Any suggestions

    Im on the latest update

  5. Would it be possible to get runway marker buoys that are strobed?, this would make them a lot more visable, also could we get a few more for the runway to define it a little more?

I like the idea of the pilot controled airport lighting, maybe use a NAV2 frequency like there is in the mega airport heathrow to open the hangar doors?

    Zakk :)

  6. The Glider is OK and nice concept but a little flawed in realism.

Must agree with the comments on the instrument panel - it is generally illegible. Disappointing

As an experienced real pilot and glider pilot my main worry is the awful glider handling!

The pitch rate is far to fast, as is the roll rate. A 15/18m glider has a large inertia in its wing so inherently has a damped slew/roll rate. Can not this be accurately simulated? Similarly for the pitch.

The Aerosoft Discus glider also exhibits pitch instability! its attitude bucks around and needs constant correction. Coordination of amount of control movement to aerodynamic effect also appears unrealistic? Any real glider that fly’s like this would be quickly grounded.

The overall flight characteristics make the aircraft most uncomfortable and unenjoyable to fly. I usually find myself choosing the old DG808 even the ASK21 to enjoy some comfortable fun CumulusX and Simprobe cross country soaring.

OK, I might be missing something in the setup?

    If so what....?

I have tried a large range of variations of settings to little effect.

Any hope of a trim lever in the cockpit?

    Regards

    Hi,

As a real world glider pilot, and also more to the point, Discus pilot, i can honestly say hand on heart Joachim's Discus is a pretty much perfect simulation of the RW Discus, the D'X is by FAR the most realistic simulation on the current market.

All i can suggest is get yourself some RW discus experience and you'll see how accurate this simulation is!

With regards to panel quality, you must have an issue with your settings (global texture resolution maybe?) because it is crystal clear on my system :)

  7. I like the new website design, i think it is very "Clean" & "Smart", However,

Some of the newer products are a little difficult to find,

    I find it is pretty s l o w  t o  l o a d

Its a little long winded to get into the forums too

    Otherwise, congrats :)

  8. THIS, exactly THIS, is why YOU developers are not able to link proper communication with project.... a few lines stating "even though the aircraft is painted in AIR BERLIN colors", the textures are far from being finished".

Sorry but if the aircrfat was shown in white like the usual first sho of a project, I wouldn't have reacted that way...

May i say, SO WHAT if it is Air Berlin colours, the screenshot is to show the progress of the project,

plain white or pretty pink with rainbows & stars is irrelevant,

what is relevant is the project is moving forward

I remember when captain sim were developing the 727 for FSX, they released the exterior and interior seperatley at dofferent time, it is now sold as a comlete AC (in & out)

  9. Frame rates are 20. It can run faster but stutters.

Heres a post of mine from another forum...

    Hi All,

Just bought me a copy of tune up utilities 2010, Great little program to get shot of all the rubish on your pc and keep it optimised, in the 2010 version there is a "Turbo" button, this button when activated kills anything that slows the PC down,

i have just done some tests on FSX with the wilco A319, LGW Extreme scenery from gatwick to jersey

    1. EGKK-EGJJ - Turbo OFF, Frames as usual, a little stuttery around EGKK with the scenery

    2. EGJJ-EGKK - Turbo ON - considerable increase in frames and the fluidity of FSX, runs alot smoother and less jumpy or jerky

Conlusion, Tune up 2010 has made my fsx run a lot better - might be a good investment at only £30 for a new copy or £18 for an upgrade from a previous version

    Happy Landings

    Zakk

The above also has a considerable positive effect on the Discus models

  10. Glad you like it, Have you tried in a 20knott or above wind speed :D Expect a bumpy ride :D

well, went up on a 1200" Winch, flew off to the fountains near Dillingham,

went up and down the ride 4 times (climbed about 2300"),

Poped the motor out and went out to sea a little then did some aerobatics consisting of 3 loops, 2 chandelles, a bit of inverted flight and an aeliron roll,

got it down to best glide and went back & landed @ Dillingham

ill have a play with the weather & winds in a minute
