Well I too agree with you man. Given that we do have payware Delhi, Bangalore, Cochin and Trivandrum, it's just Mumbai which is lacking!!

Let's just hope that Aerosoft can make VABB Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Intl a possibility! :)

What payware for Delhi, Bangalore, cochin and Trivandrum. Where are they?  There are none.

And I agree with all of you with this regard. We need a decent payware scenery for India, something the FS Community has ignored. How can you ignore such a large country anyways. Pretty Puzzling to me :(

I concur. There is only Hyderabad (rajiv Gandhi International)  Freeware that is pay ware quality out there. But we need Chennai, Bangalore, Trivandrum, Cochin and Mega airports for Mumbai, New Delhi for MSFS.

I rarely flew India in FSX/P3D cause, even though I had Mumbai and Bangalore and Varnasi for P3D inbetweens were a dog.  no good area scenery. But in MSFS, we have good inbetweens but no airports.

  3. Oh Ok..then this scenery is a wash. I am going to uninstall it and leave the Megascenery buildings..that was so much better I think

    Mamny

The buildings are worse than default FSX Buildings. Why would anyone build a building thats worse than default? This probably was FS9 addon ported to FSX maybe.

  4. I installed US city Las Vegas on top of Megascenery Las Vegas and yet almost every single building on the stip has a duplicate building.

I suspect its Megascenery buildings that still pops up inspite of US city LV sitting on top.

Anyone know which BGL in Megascenery I need to remove?

Or is there something else I can do to remove these intrusion?

when building a scenery, don't you take over a particular area completely and bury whatever is underneath it?

  5. I downloaded this last night and flying it now.

I too came here to tell, how nice this scenery is. Luv it.

It has two custom airport. The big one LEPA and the small LESB as well, in addition to a very nice high resolution photo texture with autogen for the entire Island. This should be the size of all aiport scenery. An airport zone or environment. ;)

The colors of the Island textures and the Airport is seamless.

And the FPS is very nice too!

Thanks again for a job well done! :)

  6. Whatever city its going to be, my preference is cities adjacent to an airport. A City that is not close to an airport does not get used much in my Sim.

San Diego is one of those cities that is badly needed since its very close to KSAN and it matters when you are in approach to land. I am sure there are plenty of airports like that. IMO, I hope preference would be given to those cities and those airports. I love London city just because of London city airport. Manhattan is awesome because of three airports that are close by.

Chicago would be awesome along with the old Meigs airport.

Phoenix is a good candidate also.

  7. Its nice, but wish the phototextures extended at least all the way to the KSFO Airport.

I have Mega Earth for the entire state of California which is pretty good for the most part. But some of the cities like Sacramanto and San Francisco is pathetic. ITs worse than FS9 low resolution textires. Its just bleached white. And it look ugly next to the textures from this city scenery.

Wish someone would do the San Francisco area in high resolution.

    1. Kathmandu - Lukla

You have just arrived at Tribhuvan (VNKT) in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. On the first flight you will carry some mountaineers and tourists to Lukla (VNLK) Map Photo which is close to the mountain. A good choice of an aircraft is the Beechcraft King Air 350 because it is suitable for making short takeoffs and landings at Lukla and flying at high altitudes. Don't file an IFR flight plan because ATC will give you a vector to final where you can't land. Before arriving at Lukla consider to install the add-on described at the bottom of this page.

From VNKT climb to at least 13000 ft while following VOR 112.30 outbound on track 096° for about 70 nm. Now turn on terrain mode (TERR) on your GPS navigator and carefully locate the low elevation valley running north and south with VNLK on its path. Follow the valley to the north while descending to just above the airport elevation at 9100 ft. When you have the airport in sight on your right side line up with the 2500 ft asphalt runway at 60° and land (you need the scenery add-on to get the correct runway).

And a couple of tips: Turn into the valley with low speed and low altitude or you will have problems descending to airport elevation in time. The same is true before you make the final right turn to the runway because there is only little distance to the runway threshold.

    2. Lukla - Mount Everest - Lukla

Assuming you are too lazy for climbing the Mount Everst on foot you take a flight from Lukla to the mountain and return to Lukla. The King Air may still be a good choice, simply because you will have to make a very steep climb in a short distance.

Takeoff from Lukla, turn right, and follow the low elevation valley to the north and later north east. Climb to at least FL 290 if you want to cross the mountain. The highest point is at N27* 59.20' E86* 55.52'. Locate the point visually or press Shift+Z to see the current coordinates. Back to Lukla you may follow the same route that lead you to the mountain.

    3. Lukla - Kathmandu

Back to Kathmandu you may fly a less direct route at low altitude that gives you time for enjoying the landscape and visiting some local airstrips. Because of the low altitude you may choose a smaller single engine airplane. Use the GPS navigator and follow the valley that goes south from Lukla to NDB LDA and then west to Kathmandu. Pass by the following airports on the route: VNLD, VNRT and VNRC.

  9. I wish the ACES team would get together and do a startup of their own.

It may not be very hard to find venture capitalists to fund this.

Who knows...even Bill Gates and/or Paul Allen could be approached to fund this venture.

  10. I think if you search them on Google images, you'll find thousand of images!

Maybe you can find a good one!

I did....but almost all of them are perspective shots and even if I crop it out, they are not good enough for textures.
