  1. Hi Mathijs, Thank yu for you reply...Yes, I have administor rights. But thank you it is all sorted now.Not sure wat went wrong. Dave
  2. Hello, Since updating to the latest Prepar3d hot fix I now have an issue with the add-on.xml configurator. I can use my mouse along all the menus but when the mouse goes onto the list for editing the Blue circle just sits there whirring thus making it impossible to set up a config set. I only updated the Prepard3d client....Can anybody shed any light on this please? Dave
  3. Hi Guys, I have used SimstarterNG for a while now and have only just started to delve into it's depths which has prompted me to come up with a question/idea. I have several different profiles depending on which area I am going to fly in and have the scenery deactivated if I am not flying in that region. With the onset of Prepar3d v4.5 (Which I am using) a lot of my scenery is elsewhere and an add-on.xml file gets it loaded into the sim. I noticed there is an add-on.xml mamager, and in that are further options for new config sets. Here is my queston/idea. If I create several different add-on.xml config sets, labelling the same as my regions and assign that config set to that particular region and again only activate the scenery that is for that area will once simstarterNG is running and I run the particular profile will it only load the add-on.xml for that region thus cutting down on the amount loaded into the sim and load times. I hope the above is understandable lol. EG Scenery and add-on.xml config sets for UK with only UK stuff activated once I activate it (Run profile) is only UK loaded. Phew!! there in the end lol Dave
  4. Hi Guys, I own a considerable amout of Aerosoft products including Mega airports for FSX and Prepar3d. I wish to install them into Prepar3d v4.5...Are they compatible..Do I have to purchase them again? Are updates available? Thank you Dave
  5. I have just installed Simstarter on a rebuilt system with P3D v4.5. When starting I get this error: I can select "Continue" and the app seems to carry on. I am not comfortable with trying to change any P3D scenery items with this error popping up. It also hangs the makerunways refresh.. These are the details :- I am running version 1.87 rev 1 See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.InvalidCastException: Operator '<' is not defined for type 'DBNull' and string "9". at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Operators.ConditionalCompareObjectLess(Object Left, Object Right, Boolean TextCompare) at .(Object , Object , Boolean ) at SIMstarter_NG.sceneryTable_F.(Object ) at (Object , Object ) at .(Object , Object ) at SIMstarter_NG.sceneryTable_F.readSceneryCfg(file scenery_file, Boolean addAddOnXml_BL) at (Object , file , Boolean ) at .(Object , file , Boolean ) at .() at .() at .(Form ) at .(Form ) at .(Boolean , Boolean , Form ) at .(Boolean , Boolean , Form ) at SIMstarter_NG.startPos_F.get_addOnAirports(Form target_F, Boolean refresh_BL) at (Object , Form , Boolean ) at .(Object , Form , Boolean ) at .(Form ) at .(Form ) at SIMstarter_NG.main_F.(Object , EventArgs ) at System.EventHandler.Invoke(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnCreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl(Boolean fIgnoreVisible) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: Win32 Version: 4.8.3815.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v4.0.30319/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- SIMstarter NG Assembly Version: Win32 Version: CodeBase: file:///E:/Simstarter%20NG/SIMstarter%20NG.exe ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.VisualBasic Assembly Version: Win32 Version: 14.8.3752.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Microsoft.VisualBasic/v4.0_10.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: Win32 Version: 4.8.3801.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_B CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: Win32 Version: 4.8.3815.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Core/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Core.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: Win32 Version: 4.8.3815.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: Win32 Version: 4.8.3752.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: Win32 Version: 4.8.3752.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Configuration/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Configuration.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: Win32 Version: 4.8.3752.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Runtime.Remoting Assembly Version: Win32 Version: 4.8.3752.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Runtime.Remoting/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Runtime.Remoting.dll ---------------------------------------- ? 6. Hi Guys, I have numerous Aerosoft products installed for FSX. If I take a leap of faith and get Prepar3d do I have to reinstall everything or is there a way to link my installed FSX files so Prepar3d knows where to find them. Dave
