  1. Hi, Can you try to be more specific about the delays, which you are referring to above? I am also flying online in most of the occasions and am unable to fully agree with your statements. There is a big improvement between the first versions using the VIEW FOCUS and what is now. Rolf mentioned clearly that if there is no delay in the Taxing CL for example, you simply cannot steer the plane in some airports where the taxiway is complicated. Please also note that this AC is designed and made for all kind of users, who have different level of knowledge and EXPERIENCE for piloting the plane. Many of them need to know and mainly remember visually what is going on and how it is going on in the cockpit. Human brain is much more used to learn things by getting visual impression for the sequence of events, which happen, instead of listening to them only. I personally would prefer to have such interactive CL in the small planes also, no matter that it will take time and AS has to decide if it is worth to. Last, but not least is, please remember that people are different and making an universal product is always an almost impossible task. Rolf had tried to implement something, which cannot be seen in other products from the sort and he deserves appreciation. Moreover, the CL are quite close to the RL events, which are happening in the cockpit during flight execution. Hope the above helps.

  3. Und das ganze auch gleich noch als Circled Approach auf die 08. Macht richtig Laune. Ich hatte ja keine Ahnung was das für ein toller Flieger ist! Und dann auch noch Freeware?! Viele Kleinigkeiten erfreuen. Z.B. wurden Radios mit 8.33 kHz Spacing verbaut. Sehr ordentlich. Wenn man sich aktuelle Charts ansieht, wie z.B. (die gut gemachten) von Aerosoft (siehe unten ein Beispiel) , da stimmt kaum eine Frequenz in den Sceneries, seitdem in der EU flächendeckend schon seit Jahren umgestellt wurde. Alle wurde "kompatibel" zu 25kHz geschummelt. P.S. da das Video ein Replay ist, stimmen einige Daten im Cockpit nicht es fehlt u.a. die DME Anzeige. Großes Ehrenwort, die Rechtskurve wurde wie im Chart bei 3.5 DME OEV eingeleitet 😉

  4. Real world RJ driver here. I've taken the -900LR from CYVR to KORD, and from CYYC to KIAH (4+ hour legs) and most of my flying falls within the 2-3 hour range. Our step climbs are manually calculated (unlike PMDGs auto-step climb from their FMS sneaky sneaky) using our performance tables that are incorporated in the speedcard booklet we use every flight (not part of aerosoft's offering). Usually we climb up as soon as our weight allows, temperature and winds aloft-permitting. Sometimes it's not worth it (climbing into headwinds), but the engines do really see the benefit with a drop in fuel flow somewhere in the 100lbs/engine/hr/2000ft climb. 8450 Fully loaded at MTOW (84,500) we will often start at FL330 or FL350, and make our way up to FL390 depending on density alt. FL390 isn't common, you need to be fairly light (not full pax, planned Fuel on Arrival sub-3000 lbs) otherwise the min maneuvering speed starts to bite you in the butt. As for estimating TOC, it doesn't reaaaallly serve much in the way of function outside the planning realm. It happens when it happens. ATC restrictions in the climb often push the actual TOC far back from planned, especially in the busier airspaces (EU, East coast NA) Hope that sheds some light!

  5. Wolfgang, I do not agree with you. People flying "online" is according to my knowledge not the majority of the A330 users. Our intention when we implemented the CL was to "guide" the user through the various procedures and not take away some work from him. In RL a "computer" is also not doing this but the checks / settings are made by the PF and PNF while flying. The VIEW FOCUS is just a help for those who really "care" for the CL and its items / settings. But if you do not care what is going on in RL, want to do in parallel other things while the CL is running and think that the CL is just an automated settings feature, then you are right. But this is not the idea when we implemented the new version of the CL into the A330. Rolf

  8. Hi The calibration in Aerosoft goes now through the EFB...aint that right? Without any subscription to the two chart providers how do I remove the Error sign? The EFB is frozen. Jens 🙂

  9. Just thought I'd post this for future reference. My P3D is running at medium settings and I am able to get a solid 25-30 FPS at ORBX YMML v3 with almost no stutters. I haven't tried night time yet. Loving this A320, really good price for what you get (FSLabs should be taking notes here).
