Shifty 1 Posted August 22, 2017 Share Posted August 22, 2017 Good afternoon, I was flying the VOR B approach for RW09 and established myself on a 3 mile final on a 3 degree profile. However when flying over part of the town before landing I suddenly get ridiculous lift for no reason. I need to pitch about 8 degrees nose down to stay on profile. I'm having to throw away every approach. This was using clear skies weather without active sky running, the wind was 0 for the whole approach. Is this a bad implemented effect of a town causing thermals? Anyone got any ideas? EDIT - I have turned off Thermals/ Turb in P3D. Hopefully this will solve it.
