Cheyenne Chief Pilot 829
With a fixed thrust setting (in the rare event of absent oscillations ), the engine sound is still modulated in a way that it subsides and revives again, before the loop is closed and the same file is replayed. (Takeoff run, for example, or climbout in managed climb.) I was wondering whether it would make sense to use just the "middle part" of that particular sound file, unmodulated, as it would result in a more plausible sound environment under those conditions. Just a little fiddling with a sound file, no changes to the sound system required. Or am I overlooking any side effects?
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted April 17, 2015 Aerosoft Share Posted April 17, 2015 You can always try, but are you sure your sound drivers are fully up to date? We have seen these effects on systems with outdated drivers.
