Uemit 5 Posted December 20, 2014 Share Posted December 20, 2014 Greetings. I first time use a A319 with IAE engines. During a pushback I realize that N1 rises to 96.1% on both engines. Because I haven't any experiences with IAE engines i thought that this value could be normal and release the parkingbrake to taxi. But I wasn't able to taxe faster than 2 knots. For the hole procedure I use the integrated copilot and the thrust levers are in the idle position. I test this couple of times and find out thats a bad idea if i try to s/u the IAE engines during pushback. The thrust on N1 is to high and I role forward and the pushback cannot complete.
