dc10boy 1
A bit off topic, but how do you get the B model HUD in an A model panel?
richt481 5
Hi Guys, just did a video with my take on the ACLS and auto throttle, Hope this is of use, Rich Ps, I actually use the ILS needles on the HUD and the AWL on the VDI, just to help out a little. Not operationally correct, but hey, we're all learning :-)
Victory103 24
Rich, really nicely done on the basics to get the ACLS working. The other manual one could reference is the CV NATOPS, which includes the night/IMC carrier approach, called the CV-1. The Kitty actually should be set to a 3.5* glide path, but the math is the same. richt481 5
Thanks Victory103, I'll have a look at CV-1 :-) I have to say, I'm really enjoying going back to my roots of naval aviation (albeit in helicopters) and I just can't leave the Tomcat alone. I'm just amazed how much information I used to retain in my head when I look at the NATOPS manuals. Maybe it's just an age thing. All I need to do now is to get TacPack and to go online, Rich
JohanU 0
Hi Rich, First, thanks for the videos. they are a great tool. Do you know if ACLS works on other Aircraft Carriers or is it just on the Kitty Hawk associated with this F-14? Thanks a lot, Johan
