She was posted to 24 Squadron at the time, which operated VIP transport aircraft for such people as Churchill, Montgomery, Alan Brooke and so on. She slipped on something while exiting the plane. Quite nasty, and suffered extensive external and internal bruising. She cant remember the serial number, but says it might have been MW100, which is now represented at Cosford by the ex-Skyfame example TS798/G-AGNV. A sprightly 85 year old now, and sharp as a razor!
