Hiflyer 129
Since Mathijs previous thread on SSD's I noted that many people were discussing when the prices might drop a bit. So here's a heads-up on a nice sale at newegg with some interesting prices! http://promotions.newegg.com/NEemail/Apr-0-2010/SSDSale/index-landing.html?nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL040210&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL040210-_-EMC-040210-Index-_-E0-_-AllSSD

Sharrow 107
Just please do your homework (i.e. read reputable reviews) before you buy any SSD. They most definitely are not all created equal.
Hiflyer 129
Just please do your homework (i.e. read reputable reviews) before you buy any SSD. They most definitely are not all born equal. http://ssd-reviews.com/ Well this might be of some help: On the other hand, it might just cross a few eyes! I read up on this months ago, and what I generally came away with in the end was that the Intel X-25's are generally at the top O' the heap. With a random scattering beneath that which is probably going to be highly influenced by a given individuals finances. Choose wisely!
Hiflyer 129
http://techreport.com/articles.x/16848 This might also be useful for those not as steeped in the acronyms! Drilling down through it all Intel wins but I came a way with a good feeling about the Samsung/Corsair and finally the OCZ vertex series drives, too.

I am eyeballing an Intel 160gb drive very carefully......... Of course it's tax-time, and I also owe a mint! (as usual) But that's a different issue.
