FSCommander - Vatsim Data

I've spent many hour reading thru various forums, but if this problem is already resolved, pls direct me accordingly. FSCommander was working fine, then suddenly I received: "Error reading in Online File! Download the file again!" Now in my case, the weater downloads work fine, it's simply Vatsim data. I've tried new installs, as well as the 'weather' issue, (which I don't have) but no luck. I've only found a couple of people reporting a similar problem but there have been been no resolutions. No problems connecting to FS9 or downloading weather, or with IVAO data. Have manually updated the weather metar. Again, everything worked fine, then VATSIM data failed. Again, I only post after not finding a solution.

I get the same error but only if connecting via a network. Have not had the time as yet to check out the network.

EDITED: Well it's not network related as checked all networked pc's and they are fine. I had this happen while running it on the main pc (dual monitor) tonight and I had the same problem. Now it works/now it doesn't!!! Will have to keep looking for the cause.

It's not a Vatsim issue as I have quite a few other programmes running on different pc's that all get data from Vatsim. They all work but on occasions FSC just does not want to update data?? This sometimes happens when FSC is on the main pc along with FSX as well as on the network.

One thing that I keep meaning to try is adjusting the time for updates in FSX or FSC and FSMap as what may well be happening is that both (or even all) are trying to obtain the updates at the same time, hence, one of them ends up not getting the update.

This can usually happen to FSM also, but, the majority of times its FSC.

version 8.4.2 should work properly with VATSIM.

Please try the following steps:

- run FlightSim Commander

- download weather

- download VATSIM files

- exit FlightSim Commander

After this send the files "fsc.ini" , "FSC_Protocol.log" and "FSC_Info.log" to our support department support@aerosoft.de.

These files can be found in the FlightSim Commander installation folder.

We will forward the files to the developers to check where the problem is.

I see the same thing fairly frequently. It can usually be fixed by manually requesting a new download.
