German Landmarks & Gap1 Conflict

Greetings,

I hope you will be able to help me with this problem I have just encountered. I recently purchased German Landmarks and I find I now have a problem loading EDDS from GAP 1 Pack, every time I get a CTD at approximately 35 percent loaded. I appear to have narrowed down the problem to the German Landmarks Terrain part of this scenery, with that part and that part alone disabled loading of EDDS is normal. I should add that all the other airports in GAP1 load normally with German Landmarks Terrain activated. Rainer are you out there? You gave me some mega help several months ago with a problem I was having with EDLW.

I answered your other post. Seems there must be a conflict on your machine as its not an error that's reported a lot.

Thanks for the reply was thinking that no one was going to get back to me. I will reactivate the scenery and try to fly into EDDS as I haven't tried to do this. As for the reply you gave in the other post I am a little sceptical about the problem with my computer reply. Reason being that a while ago I had a problem with EDLW and got the same stock reply from Mathijs Kok, working with Rainer Duda we found that it was a problem with the German world Cup stadiums.

Once again thanks for the reply, will give the fly into EDDS a go and will let you know what happens.

Hi again Shaun,

Made a couple of flights one from EDTD about 40 miles from EDDS and one from EDFZ about 100 miles from EDDS, both flights CTD at about the 20 miles from EDDS mark.

After today I will be away from my computer till Saturday PM.

this problem is in FS2004?

Please download the Patch for German Landmarks in the support area.

It should solve this problem directly.

This is the first chance I have had to apply the two patches and as you suggested it has solved the problem. I really like Aerosoft products, but it is a concern to me that the twice I have had an issue with a product the reply from Aerosoft has been that there is a problem with / on my system and on both occasions that has not been the case. It is only when other users have come to my assistance in the first case Rainer Duda and in the second yourself that I have been able to resolve the issues.

Once again thank you for your assistance to resolve this problem.

Hello Peter,

Christoph is the developer of German Landmarks and therefore will know his product better than anyone else.

Also customer dont always but should check the FAQs/Updates sections first to see if the issue is known and see if there is a resolution to the issue..

We can also make mistakes too, after all we are all only human .

perfect that every works fine now!

As Shaun, explained, I was one of the developers and for this reason I feel responsable to solve the problem.

After CR-Siftware excists since 1999 I had to do all my support before working with Aerosoft, by myself. Since last year Aerosoft is publishing our products I can use recources i had to do by myself the years before

This makes life easier, but also for me sometimes more complicated, because I do not no the functionallity of installer etc anymore...

In this questions I need help also from Andreas for example.

But I always solved the problems in past.

The only problem I have is the time of reply. I am working for a german company as productmanager an often travel alot. This does not give me the possebility to answer every day. So please excuse that I anser sometime a bit later.
