How to interface the TCA Quadrant engine controls
with MSFS Aerosoft Airbus A330

This tutorial shows how to configure the TCA engine panel with the Aerosoft A330 
for Microsoft Flight Simulator using Axis&Ohs.

We will cover 2 points :

- 1 - Assigning engines master switches (ENG1 & ENG2)
- 2 - Assigning the engine starter button

NOTE : We will not cover the use of Axis And Ohs here.

There is an introduction tutorial available : 
(Altough this uses the Aerosoft CRJ in the example, the basics are the same for any addon)

These are the Lvars used  :
- AB_PDS_Eng1Master : Engine #1 Master Switch (0 = OFF, 1 = ON)
- AB_PDS_Eng2Master : Engine #2 Master Switch (0 = OFF, 1 = ON)

- AB_PDS_ignition : Engine Starter Button (0 = CRANK, 1 = NORM, 2 = IGN START)

 

STEP 1 :
Create the 7 AAO scripts.

1 – Engine #1 Master Switch ON & OFF (AB_PDS_Eng1Master set to 1 / 0)
2 – Engine #2 Master Switch ON & OFF (AB_PDS_Eng2Master set to 1 / 0)
3 – Engine CRANK (AB_PDS_ignition set to 0)
4 – Engine NORM (AB_PDS_ignition set to 1)
3 – Engine IGN START (AB_PDS_ignition set to 2
)

STEP 2 :
Assigning each of these scripts to the corresponding switch/button of the TCA
Each engine Master ON and OFF function witll be assigned the the Key Down and Key UP events of the corresponding switch
Note : As the TCA rotating button only have 2 contacts, so no contact for the middle (NORM) position,
            we will assign the Key Up event of both contacts to the Engine NORM script. (
            see the red arrows on the image below)
