Controlling the Aerosoft A330 External lights with AxisAndOhs under MSFS

This is simply an informational post about one possible way to interface some of the A330 external lights.
This NOT a compatibility warranty or an official feature of the A330, Honeycomb or MSFS.
This is only sharing information, experience and ideas to build your own development.

We will not cover the use of Axis And Ohs here.
There is an introduction tutorial available :
(Altough it uses the CRJ for the demonstration, the script creation system is exactly the same)

The Axis And Ohs lights template are available here
The Axis And Ohs lights RPN scripts are available here

The lights are :
- STROBE

- BEACON

- WING
- NAV&LOGO
- RWY TURN OFF
- LAND
- NOSE

For each light we create two Axis And Ohs scripts.
1 - The first one sets the corresponding L-Var to ON

2 - The second one sets the same L-Var to OFF

After that, each button is assigned the two corresponding light scripts

NOTE : We use the Honeycomb Bravo Throttle for this example.
Each rocker switch triggers TWO inputs.
             - One for the upper position
             - One for the lower position
The upper position input will be assigned to the script setting the L-Var to ON

The lower position input will be assigned to the script setting the L-Var to OFF

1 – Select a script then press a button of your device
2 – The device is recognized
3 – The button number is recognized

Repeat the process for all the 7 lights
You must have 14 (2 x 7) assigned buttons. (ON and OFF)

That’s it !
