water - seaplane - parking handling

Hello,

 

after years of using the Twin Otter, I've discovered this video, with the Twin Otter capable of parking (video ending), by going sideways, 90° degrees

 

please, how this kind of parking can be performed ?

From what I can see, the pilot is reversing the right engine at the end. This also turns the plane so that the rear moves towards the jetty. The front moves less.

 

Not bad.

 

Turning by using the engines is how you do it in water. You can turn on a dime by reversing one engine and pushing the other forwards.
