Aerosoft SimWare 730 Posted June 22, 2022 Aerosoft Share Posted June 22, 2022 Driving the Aerosoft CRJ steering wheel with the MSFS Nose Wheel Steering Axis The new NOSE WHEEL STEERING AXIS function in the Controls assignments in MSFS allows to drive the nose wheel separately from the rudder. In the Aerosoft CRJ, this requires three steps. 1 – Assigning an axis to the NOSE WHEEL STEERING AXIS function 2 – Activating the use of the above function in the EFB of the aircraft 3 – Arm the steering wheel control in the aircraft Let see this in details. -->You can also admire my home made tiller handle ! STEP 1 : Assign the axis of your steering wheel to the NOSE WHEEL STEERING AXIS function in MSFS. Note : I am using a general purpose USB interface from LeoBodnar and a 10kOhm potentiometer. The way it is wired requires the REVERSE AXIS box to be checked. This may not be the case with your system. Please login to display this image. Also assign the rudder pedals to the RUDDER AXIS function as usual Please login to display this image. STEP 2 : - Open the EFB in the aircraft - Click the “NEXT PAGE” button - Check the “Use Flight Simulator Steering Axis” switch Please login to display this image. STEP 3 : Set the N/W STRG switch on “ARMED” Please login to display this image. You are all set !
