FlightSimulator Commander removed from sale

Dear friends, when we were asked to remove FlightSim Commander from the shop, we did so, of course. But you might not have an idea how important this project was for us over many years. The project goes back to 1996. Sascha Felix (who passed away in 2012) and Volker Heine created tools that tens of thousands of users have used. Great people to work with, great friends of Aerosoft. But as with everything, somewhere it has to end. Volker is long since retired.

The actual cause of the closure of the project is the fact the data sources used were changed and it simply is not worthwhile to update the tool.  New sales were negligible for some time now. So anything that is done is pure cost, not covered by an income. That is the time to retire a fantastic product and thank Volker for what he has done.

Hi Mathijs,

Understanding that FSC is no longer for sale,  I hope perhaps you can

answer a support question about it.

All of a sudden the map stopped rendering the "Land" color.  And I'm

wondering if I inadvertently touched the wrong button ~:)  I have not been

able to restore the desired land color.  Do you have an idea what may have

caused this, or how to make the FSC colors behave ?  I have many color

schemes saved but no matter which one I select, FSC insists on blue for

the landmass.

I've used FSC for many years. I am also sad that it is gone.  Volker was

helpful many times,  but I suppose if it's ok for me to retire, then it's ok for

Volker also  ~:)

Best regards,

Ken Boardman

Well; don't I feel like a dummy ??   I figured it out Mathijs. I had inadvertently hit

the "MAP" button on the button bar, LH side of the map.  Now I know what it

does ~:)  Although I believe that I remember dealing with this puzzle before

many moons ago.  Perhaps you can use this to help another poor ole man

with dumb thumbs.

Best regards,

Ken
