Any plans for a DHC-3 or a DHC-4?

I would like to know if there are any plans for a single engine factory stock Otter with the R1340 engine from Aerosoft?

And/OR a Caribou with the original R2000's from Aerosoft?

I love what you have done so far with the great old DHC products, and as I used to fly many of them, I'd like to see a good representation in FSX of the two above.

All I fly these days is this box of chips.

Thank you,

Jerry

Ya, I would also really like to see and DHC-3 Otter with all engine configurations, like the two turbine engines and the radial and the usual Float, wheels, skis.

Hi Mathijs ,

Did You ever consider Building a Turbo Beaver for FSX ?

Theres probally less than 50 Real Turbo Beaver's around

today . I know that is a Small number compared to most Aircraft

but Turbo Beaver's are Beautiful and deserve to be noticed . Dave Rees

has all the Information on Turbo Beaver's , You would need , to

start a Project like this . This is the only Aircraft , that I Love even more than a Twin Otter . Please , Please consider this .

+1 for the turbo Beaver especially since you have good connection with Viking Aircraft

85% of the model already exist and the time you put in understanding turboprop modelisation with FSX for the twin otter would surely help to built up new FDE

I would also love to see both the Turbo Beaver and the Single Otter. I don't think there has ever been a payware / fully featured single otter made for flightsim.

Perhaps the Turbo Beaver could be a paid "expansion pack" to the current Beaver as everything nose back on the model could be saved, just a few gauges changed on the VC.

For the single Otter turbine and piston would be great to see.

Hi David .

I would like to see a Radial or Turbine Otter , and Turbo Beaver as well .

These 3 Aircraft dominated My Life as a Child in the 1970's and 1960's .

I never saw a Twin Otter until 1981 , but have fallen in Love with them

ever since . There has never been a Otter or Turbo Beaver as a Payware

version as far as I know either .

All the Best , Dewliner

Yeah, do it! A Turbo Beaver would be fantastic in FSX.

It wouldn't be so much work, the Beaver is there already, and just about everything back from the firewall is the same, except for the engine

instrumentaion, and the dorsal keel-area extention under the empenage.

The turbine Beaver uses a P&W PT-6 too, like the Twin Otter, not sure about the exact dash version though. The engine data from the Twin Otter would be accurate enough anyway.

If aerosoft decide to do it, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. There has nerver been a really good payware version of it, although Fred Bantings version in FS8 was real good for freeware back then, I loved it!

C'mon Mathijs, make a lot of people very happy :D

I'm sure the market is there for a Turbo Beaver, it'd probably sell at least as well as the piston version. Why don't you do a poll to see if the demand is there?

Regards

Grahame

Normally I leave these kinds of comments simmer a while to see what comments they get. Right now we have no plans for an aircraft mentioned in this thread, but FSX will have a good life span so it still might happen.

I'd imagine the Twin Otter has proven a point has it not? I've rarely seen the FSX community so excited over a project. The F-16, Cat and H-1 will all be first class too, but I'm sure we've got room for a Turbo Beaver in our Hangars and as Kevin said, Dave of course has all the data 8) Make an Amphib version and you may even please Mr Pearson!

Consider that my tuppence worth and here's a picture I stole from Viking's website:

I'm a bit surprised that this thread is so quiet, I'd have thought that more people would've been interested in a turbo-beaver.

This reply will bump it up anyway, maybe people will start to notice it (I hope  )

Hi guys,

If Aerosoft wants to build another D/H product from a Beaver to a

DASH-7 then I will be more than happy to support the effort.

I love them (I don't really have a choice though, LOL) and would

actually put my vote on the poor unrecognized workhorse, the Buffalo.

It's the only A/C in the world that looks, sounds and performs like it does.

Built like a brick, it also crashes very well (you guys have all probably

seen the Farnborough Airshow video where they all walked away).

Anyway, I'm in if you need me.

Cheers,

Dave

Viking Air

BTW, The Turbo Beaver shown in the above pic, C-FBVR, is our company

A/C we use to get around the West Coast.

Our owners also have a 737-500 that we use for the longer hauls.

After much grief and paperwork it is now registered in Canada as

C-FPHS.

Sweet eh.

I love my job.

Hi guys,

Quick correction is in order.

C-FDTB is our company Turbo Beaver, not BVR.

Sorry, long day and brain damage.

Took some pics of both DTB and C-FPHS on the ramp outside my office today

but can't seem to upload them here.

Later,

Dave
