JeyhanOsman 2
Hi everyone, I would like to update the AIRAC cycle on my A320 professional MCDU. Currently I have cycle 1809 which is definitely outdated. I would like to use up to date charts and flight plans for flying on the vatsim network and I'm running into issues sometimes when it comes to submitting a valid flight plan and negotiating with ATC. Does Prepar3d's navigation database need to be updated or just the A320 or both? Please could someone advise. Thank you
firstcaptainjones 4
Hi, You can update your P3D navdata here, https://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html To update the navdata in the Airbus you need a navigraph subscription. https://navigraph.com/home Or purchase NavDataPro Charts from Aerosoft, its a matter of choice which navdata package you go for but i prefer Navigraph. JeyhanOsman 2
Hi, Thanks for the reply. Is it possible to just update the navdata for the Airbus or will it not work properly without updating P3D navdata. Thank you
firstcaptainjones 4
It will work just fine if you just update the navdata in the Airbus, but if you want to fly online i would update both just to be sure, the navdata update for P3D is free. Deputy Sheriffs masterhawk 799 Posted January 4, 2021 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted January 4, 2021 The MCDU navdata tells the bus what to look for. If the ILS or VOR freq of the bus data does not match the P3D data, the radios can’t receive the signal, because they are autotuned to the MCDU Navdata.
