Cyrille de Lattre 0
Good morning, I have had twice this morning crahes on the ground while preparing flight from UDYZ to UUEE, everythime while manipilating MCDU. Error message is: Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 4.4.16.27077, time stamp: 0x5bfdbb35 Faulting module name: FMGS.dll, version: 2.64.0.94, time stamp: 0x5c5dbc2a Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0000000000009230 Faulting process id: 0x31c0 Faulting application start time: 0x01d4ca8215c62c9b Faulting application path: E:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.exe Faulting module path: E:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Ecosystem\Aerosoft\Aerosoft A320-A321 Professional\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aerosoft A320-A321 Professional Base\Panel_Fallback\DLLs\FMGS.dll Report Id: 04ef132a-7713-4982-b8b7-5d30eb364e34 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Additional info from aerosoft updater; Regular as well as experimental updates are available for installation Prepar3D 4.x found: (E:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\) Product Name: Aerosoft A320-A321 Professional for Prepar3D v4.x Add-on Path: E:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Ecosystem\Aerosoft\Aerosoft A320-A321 Professional Installed version: 1.2.3.1 No updates available for this product! Also ysterday I have flown from LFPG to UDYZ with the A320, and noticed a couple of things. While on the ground after start up at CDG, I was going through the flight control check and noticed that all were operative except for full up and down. the elevators were stuck in the non feeding position (LIKE IF IT WAS NON ELECTRICALY ACTIVATED). I have checked all but did not find any specific miss operating system untill my eyes looked at the engine mode selector who stayed on the start position. As soon as I set it up on NORMAL position, I had my elevators operating again. This was double checked from the cokpit and from outside in visual. During the cruise I have had twice an autopilot runaway, which resulted in an pitch up moment that put me above REC MAX. after recovery Ii reengaged the automation and it did work again. Last point, 10 minutes after reaching cruise level, and for I do not know which reason, the MANAGED system triggered a MANAGED speed of 135kt.... I switched from MANAGED to SELECTED speed and of course to MACH. The only cure was to reset in flight ATHR, AP1 and FDs. I went raw data and s everything one after one, starting with FD, and all went fine till the AP runaway. The version that I have is the experimental version correcting the MANAGED VERTICAL profile problem. DaveCT2003 2553
Sorry to hear you're suffering with this issue. The good news is that since this is repeatable for you I believe it's true failure rather than a random fault and that makes it easier to resolve for you. 1. Troubleshooting Information: a. Did both the failures occur at the same airport with the same flight plan? If so, please try another airport and other flight plan to see if you have the same error. b. Was the flight plan generated by a third party tool (Simbrief, PFPX, etc.)? If so, which one? c. Did you install P3D and the Airbus to the default location? 2. There are four things that are the most likely cause of this. In no particular order or prioritization, they are: a. P3Dv4.4 was not completely updated (all three components) b. P3Dv4.4 download or installation may have been slightly corrupted. c. The Airbus software installation may have been slightly corrupted. d. The Airbus software update may not have gone per plan, or it may have been done slightly out of order. e. Some type of NavData related problem, or the incorrect NavData being selected in the Airbus Configurator. Note that all Airbus utility programs (Configurator, Fuel Planner, etc.) need to be run "As Admin" to ensure proper values are transferred to configuration files. f. If you used a Company Route for the flight plan, the NavData being used in the Flight Plan Generating Tool (Simbrief, PFPX, etc.) might not have matched the NavData in the aircraft (same AIRAC cycle). 3. Recommendations: a. Verify the the Airbus Utility Programs (including the Configurator) are being run "As Admin" b. Verify the correct NavData is updated and selected in both the flight plan generation tool and the aircraft. c. Use SimBrief to generate Company Routes (Flight Plans) 4. Try another flight. If you still have the same issue, then: a. Uninstall the Airbus, then manually remove any remaining Airbus folder (the default location for this folder/files is Documents\Aerosoft folder). b. Download the latest Airbus Professional Installer. c. Disable your computer security. d. Run the recently downloaded Airbus Professional Installer "As Admin". e. After installation is complete, reboot the computer. f. Ensure P3D is being run "As Admin" and start P3D and see if the same problem exists. If the problem still exists (and I don't think it will), I would re-download all P3D components, uninstall and reinstall each component, and see if the problem still exists. The Lockheed Martin procedure for reinstalling P3D should be used. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Did both the failures occur at the same airport with the same flight plan? If so, please try another airport and other flight plan to see if you have the same error. Yes it did at UDYZ b. Was the flight plan generated by a third party tool (Simbrief, PFPX, etc.)? If so, which one? PFPX latest version c. Did you install P3D and the Airbus to the default location? E:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4, it is a separate SSD drive 2TO, so nope, it is not on the default location E:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Ecosystem\Aerosoft\Aerosoft A320-A321 Professional\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aerosoft A320-A321 Professional Base\Panel_Fallback\DLLs\FMGS.dll 2. There are four things that are the most likely cause of this. In no particular order or prioritization, they are: a. P3Dv4.4 was not completely updated (all three components) P3DV4.4 was not an update of any prior version but a fresh install b. P3Dv4.4 download or installation may have been slightly corrupted. This computer is dedicated to P3D and no other means... So antivirus is installed but not operating, and as much as i can I am deconnecting windows defender. Nevertheless some protections exists and Diskeeper is running in back ground. c. The Airbus software installation may have been slightly corrupted. Possoble but crashers are not a constant. d. The Airbus software update may not have gone per plan, or it may have been done slightly out of order. Was done with aerosoft updater e. Some type of NavData related problem, or the incorrect NavData being selected in the Airbus Configurator. Note that all Airbus utility programs (Configurator, Fuel Planner, etc.) need to be run "As Admin" to ensure proper values are transferred to configuration files. Navdata is setup accordingly to Navigraph in both configurator and I have activated the logging system for all three modules. I do not use fuel planer and other as I do everything with PFPX. f. If you used a Company Route for the flight plan, the NavData being used in the Flight Plan Generating Tool (Simbrief, PFPX, etc.) might not have matched the NavData in the aircraft (same AIRAC cycle). Same AIRAC installed, normally although I have not checked if the aerosoft updater is resetting the navdata to a previous AIRAC... I will check next time, unless you can tell me that it is not modifying anything. 3. Recommendations: a. Verify the the Airbus Utility Programs (including the Configurator) are being run "As Admin" Already selected in property. b. Verify the correct NavData is updated and selected in both the flight plan generation tool and the aircraft. See point 2-f above c. Use SimBrief to generate Company Routes (Flight Plans) will try next time 4. Try another flight. If you still have the same issue, then: I did try another flight with the A321 from UUEE to URSS and did not experienced any crash on the ground manipulating the MCDU. Yet for other reason externat to FS world, I have not flown the computed flight. Actually I will do this tomorrow. a. Uninstall the Airbus, then manually remove any remaining Airbus folder (the default location for this folder/files is Documents\Aerosoft folder). Oh boy I hope not. because every time I have to reinstall my livery and as I am experiencing texture problem in VC, I have found a cure for it but it implies to copy almost all of the VC texture from the Professional base directory into the texture folder of the corresponding aircraft. Trying to play with Shaders and everything else did not work. With this, all is OK but non standard. b. Download the latest Airbus Professional Installer. If I have no other choice, then I will c. Disable your computer security. Already done. d. Run the recently downloaded Airbus Professional Installer "As Admin". I will e. After installation is complete, reboot the computer. Wilco f. Ensure P3D is being run "As Admin" and start P3D and see if the same problem exists. It is already run as admin If the problem still exists (and I don't think it will), I would re-download all P3D components, uninstall and reinstall each component, and see if the problem still exists. The Lockheed Martin procedure for reinstalling P3D should be used. Looking forward to hearing back from you. I have replied in green within the quote, it was easier... DaveCT2003 2553
1 hour ago, Cyrille de Lattre said: I have replied in green within the quote, it was easier... Cyrille Understand. Please continue with the recommendations. What I can tell you is that we've not had this type of issue reported, and I make flights in the Airbus Pro every day, so it's not the FMGS. So the issue has to be something on your computer rather than a bug with our software (I don't mind excepting there is a bug with our software, and we do so all the time, but this isn't one of them). One other thing... please ensure that you have either Imperial or Metric selected in P3D, and not Hybrid. This is not related to your issue, but given you are in Russia I thought it worth bringing up.
Cyrille de Lattre 0
No problem, I have been Beta tester also a long time ago for the PSS Airbus and Boeing products back to FS2002, so I know what it is. I posed FS in 2013, and now I have to cope with all those new stuff. Believe it or not I switched 2 month ago from my old rig under XP service pack 3 and FS9 to my new rig under W10 pro 64 and P3DV4.4... It is an all different world, but it well worth the jump....
