Aerofly FS2 - Aerosoft DVD version and FTX Central

Hmmmmm...... as there seems to be no Aerofly support section, I'm kind of at a loss as to where this thread might belong. (If anywhere!)

 

But just as a heads up for those who purchased Aerofly from Aerosoft, (DVD Version) and can't get it to appear in Orbx FTX central (just in case you wanted to buy Innsbruck or something there) Orbx has released a fix for this situation, which can be downloaded at the linked location: https://orbxsystems.com/forum/…-version-and-ftx-central/

The Aerosoft DVD version uses a different windows registry entry to the Aerofly FS2 Steam edition.

For this reason, FTX Central will not recognise Aerofly FS2 if installed from the DVD.

 

If this is the case for you, please find attached the file afs2DVD.c3json.

Download it and place it into C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\Orbx\Simulators.

The next time you open FTX Central, if you have more than one simulator installed,

Aerofly FS2 should appear in the opening menu, or if you have only Aerofly FS2, FTX Central will open for it.
