I noticed that when I`m on board of the Kitty Hawk the ASI indicates 50 kts on the HUD. Is this correct? I thought carriers were much slower, around 35 kts... Of course, the wind speed was set to 0 in the weather menu.

Airspeed does come alive until after 50kts, if you check ground speed it will show value.
