    The first Aerosoft Airbus was released in 2010 and was for FSX. Just saying ;)

    There are updates which are provided through the AS Updater (usually smaller ones) and there are updates that comes with a complete new setup. The latter one needs the setup to be downloaded from the shop and a reinstallation afterwards. 

     

    The update in question here was, as mentioned in this topic, of the latter type.

     

    In general you can always run the AS Updater to check for updates (of supported add-ons, like Ben Gurion). If an update is available it will either offer you to download and install it directly or tell you to go and download the new installer from the shop.

    You will be surprised to learn, that MSFS is based on the old FSX... 

     

    Compared to P3D they just threw more old stuff out, breaking compatibility, while LM tried to keep compatibility. 

     

    You come into this forum, open an account and start immediately to be an MSFS missionary and go after users who do not exactly share your opinion. 

     

    While you are totally free to have your opinion, everybody else here is as well. 

     

    And to be honest, your arguments doesn't make sense. In one post you tell everyone, that they should forget every other sim and switch to MSFS, and after getting put straight you agree, that for certain things the MSFS is still not where other sims already are. 

     

    If you wanted to make a point that the new MSFS is great for VFR and holds the potential for a bright future you totally failed it. And complaining about down votes after being the one who started down voting is childish behaviour. Nothing else. 

     

    And by the way, this topic is about FSFK and not a general MSFS topic. 

     

    If you change your attitude against other users here in the forum you are welcome to stay and become a valued member.

    I think you should leave everybody making their own decisions, based on their own experiences and needs. You made your point above but there is no need to go after every post that is not fully in line with your opinion. 

     

    And btw, if I want to fly an Airbus, I do this in my P3Dv5, because the current one in MSFS is even with the freely available mod lightyears behind the AS Airbus. 

     

    So there might be good reasons, why not everybody have deleted any previous simulator yet.

    Hi,

     

    something still is wrong with the update. Before installing it I had jetways. After installing the update and running the config tool once the jetways were gone.

     

    After having a closer look into the SODE folders I found the "Ben Gurion 2 sode jetway options" folder. Only after manually coping one of the two included files into the SODE\xml folder the jetways showed up again in the sim.

     

    The documentation doesn't mention this manual set, and also the config tool doesn't offer a VDGS on/off option to copy one of the two files properly for me.

    If you post images of the livery you are requesting please be aware that we do not allow to post copyright protected material.

     

    In such cases you need to post LINKS to such images only. When inserting a link into the post editor it will be replaced automatically by the image. You need to revert that again by clicking on the following link below the image

    How do you know if an image is copyright protected?

     

    A printed copyright statement within the image (like "Copyright by ...") is a good hint for example ;)

    All updates will be posted automatically into the preview topic. There is no need to ask for them. From all the tons of already available information there it should be actually pretty obvious, that the release is not 3 years into the future.

    About a year go the search functionality of the forum broke during a forum software update. Before that it was a great tool, since then it's plain crap. And never since then I have suggested to use it anymore. Just to be precise in the discussion here.

     

    If I answered your suggestion with a comment like "please use the search feature", it was surely because your suggestion had be made already several times and was therefore noticed by all people in charge of this forum. And I would have also said that clearly and not just pointed you to the top right corner of the page.

     

    Please be more complete and precise in your arguments here.

     

    The reason why your former post in the preview topic is not available anymore to just check back, is because it was deleted after some time. And that's because it wasn't related to the A330. A preview topic is there to showcase upcoming products, and not a general discussion topic. And that's why Mathijs closed it for the moment, as people ignored these hints again and again. And that was also the reason why Mathijs opened a separated topic for the voting discussion. There are lots of places for free discussions in this forum, but the preview topics are none of them.

    No, the update is not only for aircraft, but also for scenery add-ons.

    But the updater can only be used for new add-ons or add-ons that are getting updated now (to get the updater support added into it). 

     

    Old add-ons that doesn't have the updater support added yet (within the installed product on your machine) can't be updated by the updater.

     

    Of course the updater support will be added to add-ons when ever possible.
