Gianni,
I have German Airports 1 installed, it includes a version of LOWI Innsbruck. Will the installer of your new version of LOWI disable the old version like the new Hamburg does? Or will we have to disable it manually?

Good Job!
That looks very realistic!

What's the meaning of that last sentence then? What are they saying about native airports?
A default aircraft, scenery, or airport is one that Microsoft included with the simulator platform from the factory release.
When we refer to a native aircraft, scenery, or airport we are usually talking about a third party add-on that has been developed using the SDK that is specific for a simulator platform. For example, the Aerosoft F-16 was developed specifically for the FSX Flight Simulator platform. Therefore the Aerosoft F-16 is considered native to FSX.

Looking forward to getting this one!

Beautifully done!
Looks like another “Have to get it” airport!
Credit card at the ready.

Well I'm glad to be in such good company Cris.
I guess I'm a classic Flight Engineer. Is there any other kind these days?
Steve
Well then, let’s raise a pint to all of us classics!

Rainer.
Thank you very much.
As English is probably not your first language I will forgive your use of the expresion "OLD PLANE" when you obviously meant to say "CLASSIC AIRLINER"
Steve
LOL
Steve,
Following that train of thought I guess that makes me a “CLASSIC PILOT”!

AES just keeps getting better!.....love it!
I know Oliver created AES as an add-on for Flight Simulator but any more I consider Flight Simulator is an add-on for AES!
Now there is a thought Oliver, how about a whole new simulator platform called Ramp Agent Simulator! Players could take on the role of Marshaller, Wing-walker, Aircraft Tug Driver, Baggage handler, Cargo Loader, etc.

PS: C-170 ; weren't we talking about a C-152?
James you’re correct we are talking about a 150-152, my bad...
I wouldn’t recommend trying a takeoff like that with a tricycle geared aircraft without skis!

The operations continue at Tungubakkar Iceland every day regardless of the weather or the amount of snow on the runway!
@mhimhi, nice video!

Nice shot Chris!

Oliver,
Thanks for the quick reply. I was afraid I had missed something in my searching.

Has anyone heard when the first 2009 SP will be coming out?
The Devs said something about January 5th and another one on January 6th but I bet they will both be delayed for some reason or another.
P.S. I read somewhere that Microsoft may go ahead and release 2010 early due to the poor response to 2009!

Mr. K_G,
Do Close the Cowl Flap for future screen shots; we usually ONLY have them opened on HIGH RPM settings and Low Airspeeds (like landings) and NEVER in the Cruise (because of induced/parasitic drag)
And the Screenshots look Great with REX.
James,
I think his cowl flaps are closed. I believe what you’re seeing is the exhaust stacks.
@K_G, very nice snaps!

I manually un-installed 2008, but it's left traces in my registry and folders that I just can't get delete. Also, annoyingly, it's left an entry in my windows un-install menu that I can't remove!
Nick,
I had the same problem but a little whiteout on the screen cleared it up!

Oliver thanks for the fast support!
Have a safe and prosperous New Year!

Hi Oliver,
I just downloaded and installed the Bugfix AES_199_Update_26_12_08.zip.zip and when I clicked on add new credits I received the message “AESHELP has encountered a problem and has to close.” I reinstalled AES 1.99 from the installer and clicked add new credits and it worked. So then I added each of the files from the bugfix, one at a time and checked the “add new credits.” I have determined that the AESHELP.exe file in the bugfix is the problem.
By the way I like the new look and feel of AES!

I just recently downloaded the AES Basepack 1.98, I think. I don't have any credits, but I just want the Free airports. I try to get KBOS to work by clicking the checkbox in the activation of airports tab in AESHelp. It comes up with a message that says "Aiport not active or found. Please activate or install in the scenery library." What do I do to get the Free airports to work????? Please help, I have FS2004 and think AES is such a great product. I can't wait to get in up and running!!!!! Thanks!!!!
You have to install the Airport scenery from FlyTampa to get KBOS to work.
Here is a link to a list of all of the airport supported by AES and where to get them.

So far, apart from the aforementioned ATR72, which has been around a long time, my Big Prop `fix` has only been satisfied by the A2A Simulations Boeong 377 Stratoliner with Accusim. sniff!
There is no current FSX equivalent for turboprops, which is a real shame IMHO as the visceral nature of whirling props and whining turbines is far more evocative than the mere whistle of a super-annuated grass blower! And an old school prop which needs careful nurturing rather than auto-bloody-everything would really suit my virtual flying predilections!
Nicely said, Simon, I’m with you on this one!

Hey Frank,
If you are looking for Australia for FS9, check out the link below! It’s made by the same developers and artists that make the Orbx for FSX. Best part is that it’s free and just as good or better than some payware that I’ve seen. Their Sydney is 100% better than CLS’s offering.
I hope this works for you!

Oh, those darn Ted pilots… They are always trying to take shortcuts!

let me guess which it is that you're craving xD
"Frankreis" ... honestly...
Actually it was “Red beans & rice”
It was the rice part that got me thinking about it!
